I almost gave up on real estate.

Not because I hated helping people or bc I wasn’t willing to work hard.

But the way I was building my business was slowly destroying me.

After I had my son, everything changed.

Every time I left for a showing, open house, or meeting… I cried in the car.

And while I loved real estate, I hated feeling constantly pulled away from what mattered most to me.

Meanwhile I was:
Cold calling
Hosting open houses
Chasing leads
Living on my phone

And somehow still barely making ends meet.

I was burnt out, discouraged, and honestly starting to resent the business I once loved.

The hardest part?
I started losing belief in myself.

So over the last few years, I stopped trying to force the “hustle at all costs” version of success and started rebuilding differently.

I studied digital marketing.
Relationship-based business.
Behavioral psychology.
And how to actually take care of myself while building something meaningful.

Last week I heard Brian Buffini speak at a conference in Charleston and something clicked for me:

You do not have to build your business through constant chasing.

You can build through relationships, referrals, and taking exceptional care of people.

And for the first time in a long time, real estate felt exciting again.

When I came back home to Columbia, my mindset shifted completely.

And!!! Within a week, I had a $500k buyer and a listing appointment.

I finally stopped building my business in a way that felt out of alignment with who I am and was given instant opportunities! Thanks God 🙏🏼

Wrapping up Unite 2026 here in South Carolina and heading into our final classes. 🤍

If you didn’t catch the 3 steps ⬇️

1. Get quiet and open your mind to allow creative ideas come to you

I believe our brain’s primary purpose is to think critically and creatively. It can’t do that when it’s consuming content/media. It can’t do that when you have a million tabs open and tasks to do. It needs rest, minimal stimulation, and patience. Then it needs you to take action on the ideas that come.

2. Write out your next step.

Keep it simple and minimal. There’s no need to map out an entire plan. It’s honestly a waste of time. Trust me. I LOVE to imagine how it will all go but until you take the next step, you have no idea what’s next. This is especially true for pathways you’ve never taken before.

3. Be receptive & take action when the opportunity presents itself.

This takes more patience and discernment. But the discernment is clearer when you don’t skip step 2. When you write out the next step, you’ll know what you’re looking for. But the KEY is to take ACTION. by @autumn_lear

It’s funny we found this message this day because I genuinely felt so beautiful and rooted in my authentic identity that day.

I’ve been on a personal journey of learning to love me - all of me - as I am.

Less fixing, masking, and performing.
More grounding, feeling, and embodying.

Less constricting, controlling, and concealing.
More allowing, resting, and revealing.

Less self abandonment
