Iโ€™m so excited to share that Iโ€™ve been selected as one of the winners of the inauguralย Darley Anderson Illustration Mentorship Prize 2026! Thank you so much for the opportunity I can't wait to get started! @darleyanderson_illustration @lornahemingwaybooks #DarleyAnderson #IllustrationMentorship #ChildrensIllustration #EmergingIllustrators by @autumnfables
How my evenings are looking at the moment. Researching, sketching and doing lots of practice work. The mentorship I'm part of is almost over and I want to go out with a BANG! I'm still developing a story. One I've been working on for well over a year now. Its changed so much during this mentorship and I couldn't be happier with how much its improved! I've been pretty quiet at posting my work. I find this time of year quite hard to be on social media. But just know I'm still here working on things you will hopefully see one day! #kidlit #EmergingIllustrators #childrensbookillustration #bookart #DarleyAnderson by @autumnfables
We have closed comments for now What an amazing response we've had to the group with over 700 comments we just can't keep up! We have decided to close entry for now however, as things change and we learn more it may open up again ________________________________ Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹ Me and @itsjuliefleming have decided we are going to start an illustrator support group here on instagram. We have noticed a lack of free resources for illustrators seeking feedback, tips and community and so this is what the Illustrator Support group will be! We are mostly focused on children's illustration but anyone seeking to work/working professionally in an illustration career is welcome to join To be added to the group please comment YES! And we will work on adding you to that chat (Please expect that this may take a little while to happen as this is new to us too โค๏ธ) We ask that this chat is focused on sharing work for feedback and tips as well as sharing any competitions or submissions that will be helpful If people would like a more chatty casual group we can make a separate one for that! We really hope this will be a useful resource and a kind and helpful space ๐Ÿ™ Thank you Hannah and Julie #artistsupportgroup #kidlit #illustration #artfeedback #illustrator by @autumnfables

Tried a little character turnaround animation for the first time. Its not perfect in any way but its been years since I tried any animation so I'm still pretty happy with this Wizard. Im working on a new story that features him so this was a great exercise for practicing his design! #characterdesign #characterturnaround #characteranimation #kidlit #kidlitillustration by @autumnfables
