3.5 years & 2 new ACLs later… I can finally say that I made it 🤍

On November 16th, 2020 I tore my ACL, medial meniscus and lateral meniscus during a gymnastics practice. On January 5th, 2021 I had surgery. I rehabbed for 10 months and made a full recovery. But soon after, my knee started to feel unstable again. I later discovered that my ACL graft had failed and the roots of my medial and lateral menisci were freshly torn. I was able to finish my senior gymnastics season by competing without an ACL, and I had my second surgery on March 7th, 2023. Now, a little bit over a year later, I’m happy to say that I’m fully back (for the second time). My recovery journey was a long one, but I’m so thankful for everything it taught me. I’ll always be grateful for all of the amazing people at @traininghaus and @twincitiesortho who helped me get here, especially my PT @jillmonsonpt and AT @doneycp taken in Training HAUS by @ava.barsness
