i came into dance this year just trying to pick up an old hobby but God had much bigger plans. i didn’t realize how much i would miss this team untill it was over. but thank you to the teachers for pushing me to do my best and helping me grow not only as a dancer but as a person. thank you to my friends for cheering me on and supporting me every step of the way. and thank you to the team for making me feel loved, appreciated and like i belong, for being more then just a team but becoming my family. even as i take this step into the real world and continue my dance journey with a new team, my bliss family will always hold a special place in my heart. by @ava11_2019

I am beyond blessed to announce my commitment to play soccer at Erskine College. All the glory goes to God! I wouldn’t be the person or athlete I am today without him and I plan to continue playing for him. Thank you to my family and friends who have been with me through this journey. Also thank you to Coach LeGrand for always believing in me and pushing me to become a better player. i’ve always wondered what i would say if someone asked me why i follow Jesus? one day the question came up at church. i thought on it for a while and came to realize its not why do i follow Jesus.it’s how could i not follow Jesus…how could i not follow Jesus after i’ve seen him work not only in my life but also in others. how could i not follow him knowing that i’ve been perfectly put together by God who already has a purpose and a path paved for me. how could i not follow him after i’ve seen the beauty of God’s creation all around me. how could i not follow Jesus after he left the heavens to come down and live in this wicked and corrupt world. then sacrificed his life to save mine, knowing i would sin and turn against him. how could i not follow him when i mess up time and time again and he still waits for me with open arms. how could i not follow Jesus when at my lowest time he picked me up, saved me, and transformed me into the person i am today. Jesus restored me when i felt completely broken. he has been the light when i ran to the darkness. he has given me peace in chaos. joy in my sadness. guidance in my confusion. he has loved me when i felt unlovable. even when i had no one i always had Jesus.i’m also extremely grateful for the people who have been with me through this walk. my family, my friends, my leaders, and my fuse group. God really placed these people in my life when i needed them most. a special thanks to my sister isabel who has been with me through it all. the times when i felt overwhelmed or when i just needed a laugh she has always been there. there’s so much more i could say but nothing could come close to the glory Jesus deserves. sometimes it’s easy to feel like he’s not present or has withdrawn but in reality he’s never left. i don’t have all the answers but i know if i trust God he will guide me in his time. by @ava11_2019
