If anyone was curious where I’ve been for the last couple weeks, I was so lucky to get to see all 8 shows of @shipwreckedcomedy first live stage show! It was an absolute blast seeing it and seeing so many friends while in town as well. Having followed Shipwrecked for a while, getting to see this show go from a web-series I adored to a full blown stage musical was mind blowing! Seeing everyone’s performances was such a treat, both the returning cast from the OG to the new additions who were an absolute delight! And the music, courtesy of the amazing @glatthorn, is sure to get stuck in your head for eons to come! Especially on top of @jwtolb’s killer choreo!!! I know that as soon as the proshot releases it is going to go straight to my on repeat collection of musicals!

Getting to chat with a bunch of the cast and creatives on this show was such an honour and I’m so happy to know them. Even only meeting some of them during this run, so many of them I was able to have incredible conversations with, and I hope you all liked your photocards! All the folks in the band as well, I don’t have all your socials but you were all absolutely incredible and I raise my glass to you all! Also major thanks to @wjstrobelight for letting me ramble my thoughts after every show to you, those were always some of my favourite parts of the experience! Especially when it came to the added stuff between shows.

I was also so lucky to see the amazing @riannyvasquez as George Eliot for a couple of shows, and seeing both her and Lauren’s takes on the role was incredible. And getting to chat for a while with Rianny both opening and after her second show as Eliot was wonderful, she is an incredible human being!

As a whole, this entire experience, the entire cast and crew, I am so proud of you and cannot wait for what’s to come. Both for the future of this musical and for everything Shipwrecked to come! As a wise man once said:
“Life is misery, why not live it fast and free.”

What a week this has been!

Getting a chance to once again see VHS Christmas Carols this year was probably the best decision I’ve ever made! I’ve seen this show every year since the digital version back in 2020, and getting to see the show grow and evolve from then has been such a treat.
Not to mention all the friends I met IRL and the friends I made at the show.

I have so many thoughts about the talents on and behind the scenes for this show, but so that this post doesn’t get absurdly long of me just saying that every single actor was absolutely incredible and have all either grown into their roles so well or absolutely were amazing in the roles they took over. And even more props to the amazing understudies @1sweet_melody and @simonh.keiser who were ready to save the day if needed! And also thanks to Kim and @thecaitlincook for taking the time to chat, you two are wonderful!

Y’know, every time I see Spies, I think “Man, how are they gonna top this the next time?” And from 54 Below to the live film to stage experience these rock stars absolutely knocked it out of the park. All of them are the genuinely some of the kindest, coolest, and most talented people l’ve ever gotten to meet and talk to, and that absolutely is including the amazing Mariah Rose Faith Casillas, Carlos Alazraqui, Tom Lenk, and James Tolbert, who I didn’t get any pics with, but were all so so nice! It was also so cool to meet and see some other amazing folks from StarKid, Shipwrecked, and Pulp again! I can’t wait for the next one, whatever it may be! Tonight is closing night of @therealteamstarkid ‘s Nerdy Prudes Must Die and I am just so amazed by each and every one of them. Even through electrical problems and flooding, these rockstars pushed through it all and put on one HELL of a show!
