Omg omg omg omg Pep Rally won a judge’s award for entertainment and 2nd place for large group hip hop ahhh! We were the smallest group in the hip hop category by 8-10 dancers so getting this title showed we were big and mighty like we practiced backstage! The night before julia hurt her knee and wasn’t able to perform with us :( so we restaged in the morning and brought our best foot forward! Thank you so much @bportdanceteam for hosting and taking the time and energy to make this weekend so much fun . It was inspiring.

Restaging pep rally for competition was a blast thank you @isabelpinoluz and @connorcarp_ for picking up the dance in 2 rehearsals and gagging us all. Thank you to the og cast for wanting to be apart of pep rally again I love you guysssss.

Shoutout to @fredoniaorchesis for taking us to competition ❤️shoutout to @aaliyah_janee @sofialamannaa for the pics and @danamacqueen for the video by @avasargentedance

So grateful to choreograph another number for @fredoniaorchesis ! Locking is my go-to in my movement vocabulary, and I finally created a piece dedicated to it once I knew I could really give the style the respect it deserves. Massive love to my cast you guys showed up, went crazy, and made this what it is. I love hip hop, I love being a practitioner in it, and I love creating within it ❤️

Choreographing Pep Rally has been the most authentic expression of who I am as a mover. Hip hop is my embodiment of dance—it’s rooted in culture, expression, and community, all of which I strive to honor and bring into my choreography. Working with this cast was a dream. I love this dance, this company, and these people with my whole heart. I will be uploading the video soon.
