After Locarno FF, I went to the Alps hoping to summit Mont Blanc, the roof of Europe; as my second of the7S. But the extreme heat during this summer, melting glaciers, adn frequent massive rockfalls made the ascent impossible.
Matterhorn, the beauty of Alps, was another dream, but again, the mountain said NO!
Nature has its own rules & It doesnt follow our dreams.
The plan changed to Weissmies Mountain 13166ft in Switzerland.

Mountains keep teaching me patience 🏔
.......
I had prepared something to carry to the summit of Mont Blanc for #saleheh_akbari , a nurse and mountaineer who helped healing injured protesters during and after the uprising of the January 8–9, 2026 in Ardabil - #Iran, she was later arrested, tortured and killed.
Mont Blanc didnt happen, so I carried her name to the summit of Weissmies instead.

Finally, shout out to the incredible team behind A Spinner, who unfortunately are unable to see these due to the internet blackout in Iran for over past 80+ days.

Ava discusses the reality of navigating government permissions and the systemic hurdles of filming a story that refuses to stay within the lines. From changing scripts to secure permits to the quiet defiance of a lead actress without a hijab, The Untouchable is a testament to the lengths creators will go to keep their vision authentic.

A short film by Ava Shahnavaz ( @avazehshahnavaz ), The Untouchable ( @theuntouchableshort ) follows Yassi as a personal crisis on a busy highway escalates into a public standoff.

Inspired by a haunting memory of systemic indifference, this film explores the moment a woman’s distress meets a policing system driven more by rigid ideology than the law. Caught between an uncompromising institution and the watchful eyes of a crowd documenting the truth, it is a tense, urgent, and visceral reflection on power and the failure of accountability.
