Thanking fieldston so much for showing me my amazing people and a great education. It’s been a very short but also long four years and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way…to all the people in and not in the photos, you know who you are and I love you eternally. And though now our lives are moving forward—may we always know each other in every path we take .

Happy birthday to my best friend and the strongest, most passionate and gracious person I’ve ever known. You are so loved by me of course and so many other people and I can’t wait to spend the rest of today with you! I would be nowhere without you (literally) and thank you for being here each and every day. I love you. by @avasimonec

EXCITED ABOUT ME AND MY MOM’S COOKBOOK COMING OUT THIS FALL!!! ITS CALLED ALEX AND AVA COOK IT UP. LINK IN BIO FOR MORE INFO.

I get lots of home cooking inspo from various places and I love to bake. I also enjoy redoing some of moms and grandmas recipes so I tried a different recipe... SSSSSHHHHH don't tell her 😈😈

Preheat oven to 375F.

In a large bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs & 2 cups (full fat) sour cream. Stir in 2 cups cornmeal, 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1-1/3 cups sugar with 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon kosher salt & 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.

Pour batter into a greased 9-inch round baking dish. Place dish in center of the oven & bake 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick/tester inserted in the middle comes out without any raw batter on it. Sprinkle top with sugar if you want. by @avasimonec
