“Red Shoulder Hawk and Cherokee Rose.”

An 18in by 9in Acrylic paint pen on canvas! This piece was a beautifully thought of commission creation. With creative freedom, a piece of symbolism has come to life! This piece includes heavy elements of Georgia, the state flower and a beloved raptor! One of my favorite color pallets I’ve worked with, and subjects (birds are always a favorite of mine 🥰)

This piece is NFS:) by @avasquiggles

“Barred owl and Field Mouse”

A 2ft by 2ft Acrylic pen piece on canvas! This sturdy lady was created from a recycled canvas. One of my favorite projects to give myself is to try and save any canvases I can from thrift stores, and this pretty lady was calling my name!
My first monochromatic squiggle, classic black and white. Another piece involving a predator and prey relationship, a swooping barred owl, and a hidden field mouse. I felt the black and white gave it that cold night feel that any owl would love. 🦉

This piece is currently FOR SALE :)
She is flaunting and ready to be admired at @sandrapurcellassociates front window! by @avasquiggles

“Red Eft”

A 14in by 10in Acrylic on an Oval Canvas! Red Efts are one of my favorite treasures of Pisgah. I felt this guy deserved the squiggle spotlight! Using acrylic paint makers (as usual 💁‍♀️) to create a stippling effect with my favorite contrasting color combo, blue and orange!

This piece is FOR SALE:)
It’s currently hanging out at @sandrapurcellassociates in the front window, if you needed an in person peek ;)

A first for me, a ceramic squiggle piece! 🍅
“Tomato accompanied by Brie”

I challenged myself to take a ceramics class. Clay is finicky, takes up space, and is not forgiving of even the smallest “oopsies.” However, clay can be so purposeful and truly showcase hard work. It is hard for me to not see a lump of imperfection, but that is what I’m challenging myself with. I’m also challenging myself with perspective. I often find myself thinking “this is cool, but what’s the point?” Or “this takes up so much space, what do you do with it?” But I’ve come to realize this expression of art has just as much meaning as a drawing or a painted canvas.

This Tomato and Brie stand are an impressionist take of a real life beefsteak tomader and wedge of good ole Brie.

NFS… at the moment… may change… may not 🙈 by @avasquiggles

“Bulls and business”

A 16 in by 20 in acrylic piece on canvas! A cool toned color palette to pair with the intensity that a bull can bring! The bull and lines are used to resemble economics and stocks! This piece feels very futuristic and something I’m not use to doing! I find myself following natural patterns and subjects.

“Brook Trout & Tree”

A 12in by 16in acrylic paint on canvas piece! Brook trout are beautiful fish native to the state this piece was painted in, good old North Carolina! These beautiful fish vary in greens, oranges, browns, even pinks! How funny that a fish of such bold colors blends in so perfectly in the water. Elements of nature are incorporated in this piece. An almost hidden tree branch, and natural patterns give this piece an overall organic feel!

“Benji’s Bandana” and “Brook Trout & Tree.” Pieces for @devonbrodmyer

A great opportunity to squiggle some beloved animals. Benji the GOAT (cat actually) and the best fish evaaa! by @avasquiggles

“Fish and Grasshopper”

Details from a smaller squiggle piece. This piece was heavily influenced by the entrancing greens and blues I find in nature. One of my favorite parts of hiking and fishing is the striking colors that always look so surreal. This piece was also heavily influenced by The Strokes album cover, “The New Abnormal.” “Bird On Money” remains one of my favorite paintings by Jean-Michel Basquiat. A great selection for the strokes to choose it as an album cover! Thank you for the great tunes while painting @minorbutmajor @thestrokes by @avasquiggles

“Fish and grasshopper”

A piece I created early December. This piece really kicked off my series of squiggles. This is an 11in by 14in acrylic on canvas. This piece really set the mood for the art I enjoy doing. I love combining nature elements and abstraction, hence the fish and grasshopper hidden in the squiggles.

“Frog and moth”

This series of squiggles combines colors and patterns to create a whole. A hint of realism with moths and a frog, intertwined with loud and mellow patterns. Music influenced the overall tone of the piece. Listening to indie rock set a chill vibe while painting. Biggest shout out to @finnwolfhardofficial and @djotime for the great tunes! 🎨🐸 by @avasquiggles

“Frog and moth”

A series of squiggles. This is an acrylic piece on a 3 ft by 2ft canvas. Originally a bike with a basket of flowers, this canvas was saved from Goodwill. I started with a geometric background of contrasting greens and oranges. I then created patterns and creatures with acrylic paint pens.

For sale. Message with inquiries. 🐸 by @avasquiggles
