Hello! I’ve been nominated for the 2026 homecoming court. As a nominee, I have the amazing opportunity of sharing a personal story about a sweet little girl. I can use my platform to raise an awareness for pediatric/ATRT cancer, and fundraise for an important cause.
This is the story of my cousin, Kylie. For my charity, I choose the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV). Kylie was born on July 7th, 2023. But after only getting to experience only a year of many things, she was taken from us. Kylie lost her hard fought battle with ATRT brain cancer on December 1st, 2024. She was only 16 months old.
ATRT is a rare, aggressive, fast-growing cancer of the central nervous system that starts in the brain or spinal cord. At just a few months old, Kylie was rushed to CHOP in Philadelphia where she was ultimately diagnosed with ATRT brain cancer. She spent the next 14 months undergoing multiple brain surgeries, receiving chemotherapy, and a clinical trial of immunotherapy. On October 31st, after only one cycle of immunotherapy, her cancer had rapidly spread throughout her brain. There were no more options left.

No parent ever wants to hear the words, “Your child has cancer.” Children deserve to live long, full lives.
PCFLV has been a constant support for Mickey, Tia and Brynlee. They were there at the beginning, throughout the year of battling the cancer, and continue to be there showing support after loss. PCFLV provides families with so many fun activities for children, opportunities to connect families, and ways to continue to find joy amidst sadness.

My goal with this fundraiser is to raise money in honor of Kylie for this amazing organization. More research and support is needed to help children like Kylie and the families. Most importantly, I am grateful to be able to share Kylie’s story and bring awareness to pediatric cancer. All donations are greatly appreciated.
