When I reflect back upon this year so far, the word that comes to mind is: growth. In more ways than one, it has been challenging the status quo and reimagining what you are capable of. One of the ways that this has been exemplified in my life recently is running. Last year thanks to some wonderful friends, I ran my first 5K since college. This year after dozens of sunset runs, I ended up running another 5K - but this time improving by almost 10 minutes. When I was in LA earlier this year, I just casually woke up and l managed to run 9 miles without stopping. All the while accidentally joining another 5K, earning plastic medal, and running up a mountain. All this would have been unimaginable just a short while ago - already surpassing the goals set at the beginning of this year. Just this past week, we surpassed the 150 mile mark (after originally setting a goal of 100 miles) - and now aiming for 200 by the end of this year. Here's to more growth, new challenges, and new adventures to come. What's one way you've grown this year? by @avatarzhaang
We met Brandon Stanton (founder of @humansofny ) and one day later I still can't stop thinking about it. As some of you may know, I was a member of @wmhumans, with the strong belief that every human has a story and deserves to be seen. One thing that always stood out to me about Brandon's work was how introspective he is, asking himself the big questions. What is my purpose? How can you capture people's authentic selves? What impact do I want to leave? Hearing Brandon speak, it was reinvigorating to hear him ask so many of those familiar questions and I found many of those thoughts resonating. "Why are we here?" is a question that each of us is answering each and every day. Because meaning is something we create for ourselves. All I know is I never want to stop asking those big questions and finding beauty in people's stories. After all, isn't that what it means to be human? by @avatarzhaang
Welcome to my new office! I'm excited to say I've started a new job at Dunder Mifflin. Here are some of my new coworkers -- Ryan, Kelly, and some guy from IT that we don't really talk about. I heard the secretary is pretty cute, and I'm going to be working for the world's best boss. Who knows what the next few years have in store? There's a pretty exciting day that they call "pretzel day" here and they host some pretty bomb holiday parties. Cool beans, right? by @avatarzhaang
The last thing I did before the pandemic started was wander into this poetry cafe in Old San Juan. It was a magical experience, where people from different cultures and backgrounds shared poetry from the heart. As I reflect upon this past year, one filled with so many changes, I wonder how we will come together once again to share these human moments. Over the past few weeks, I’ve delved into a previous pastime of mine: reading and finding that it’s opened up worlds that I’ve forgotten about or new voices sharing their truth for the first time. What’s been something that has brought you joy, community, or meaning recently? Or something that really made you feel? by @avatarzhaang

Recently completed what I'd like to call the "Boston Marathon" and saw some of my favorite people in one weekend. by @avatarzhaang
Not me, Us. . . . . Like many of you out there, I have given considerable thought about who to vote for in the 2020 Presidential Cycle. I have some amazing friends working in Presidential campaigns, and I have incredible amount of respect for all of you. When it came down to it, there was always one person that stood out among the rest. There was one person who stood up for civil rights, even when it was not popular. From every issue, from the Iraq war, to climate change, LGBTQ+ rights, and more this person has consistently on the right side of history. I recently had the immense privilege of seeing him in person, and found myself visibly emotional when hearing the ask the words I had heard him ask many times before, "Are you willing to fight for someone you know, as much as you are willing to fight for yourself?" And the resounding YES of the crowd, that truly gave me hope for the future and embodies the meaning of #NotMeUs. When we take a look at some of the considerable challenges our nation faces going forward, I think it is important to take a look at what some of the most vulnerable members of our community are saying. When I look at the diverse coalition that he has built, it includes people whose lives depend on having affordable health care , minority groups who want their civil rights to be protected, undocumented individuals that want someone to stand up for them, and young people who will be increasingly affected by climate change. I strongly believe that Bernie Sanders is one to create the change our country needs. If you do too, come join me. The truth is, no matter which candidate you support, no candidate can win if we don't show up. Make your voice count. by @avatarzhaang

Here's a small glimpse of the beauty I saw on the countryside. So grateful for this opportunity to explore what has quickly become one of my favorite parts of the state ❤️🏞️🛤️🌄 by @avatarzhaang
One. More. Time. This was my first convocation "the other side." It was so heartwarming seeing faces old and new come together to celebrate new beginnings. This time around, I got to be part of that intimate part of that process. Two people came up to me afterwards and told me that "You're part of the reason that I am here," and "I remember when you called me on the phone and told me that I got in. It was one of the best days of my life." It was very wholesome and reminded me why the work that we do was #worthit. by @avatarzhaang
