If you’re new here, welcome 🤎

I’m Ava an artist, a founder, and a creative director. Three titles, one creative vision.

I’ve never believed my creativity should have boundaries or that my work should be defined by a single discipline.

Art is where it begins, but my vision has always extended beyond the canvas.

Through my work and building @wearmyal, I’m creating something that reflects how I see the world, what I value, and the stories I want to tell.

I’m not interested in limiting what I can create to what people already know me for.

There’s intention behind what I do, and a much bigger vision behind what I see.

And I’m only getting started. by @avatheillustrator

A moment I’m really proud of 💛

I’m featured in the Autumn 2026 edition of @hailupinfluencers Magazine! Seeing my work and parts of my journey together in print feels very special. So much happens behind the scenes, and I’m excited to share this with you.

Thank you to the founder and CEO Byron Aris for making space for my story alongside fellow Caribbean creatives. 🇯🇲

The digital edition is available now through the HailUp app, Amazon Kindle and Zinio. Print copies will be available November 4

Animating my paintings into fashion, until 1 make them real.

This one is for my father, who is also an artist.

The lines and angles of the zinc roof in his painting inspired the shape of this outfit. I wanted to take those details and see how that could become something you could wear, very “avant-garde” huh?

Day 4 of animating my paintings into fashion until I make them real.

This original painting has been was inspired by Jamaica’s national flower the Lignum Vitae. Blue and yellow are so striking to me. So with my wild imagination I interpreted a dress from the blue makeup.

I can never run out of inspiration from that little island I also call home.
