The Gunther Werks Winchester is a modern interpretation of one of Porsches most iconic generations, and my personal favorite, the 993. While finished in a stunning, pearl-white that sparkles in the sunlight, this car makes heads turn with more than just the paint color.

What an incredible event put together by @petitfridays in collaboration with @porsche_platica @harperporsche @modaevents_official @latebrakingmotorsports etc, hosted at @forthatlanta

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this event together by coming out and bringing their cars. It was amazing seeing it all come together, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!

Some sunsets change nothing.

Others quietly change the person watching them.

The longest break I’ve ever taken from RS1 wasn’t because I fell out of love with creating.

It was because I refused to come back as the same photographer who left.

Somewhere along the way I stopped chasing photos that performed well and started chasing moments that deserved to exist long after the sun disappeared.

This evening wasn’t planned.

No magazine cover.

No press launch.

No million dollar hypercar.

Just still water, warm summer air, glass bottles catching the last light, and an Audi that happened to be parked in the middle of it all.

That’s the strange thing about cars.

We think we fall in love with them because of horsepower, lap times, or the badge on the hood.

We don’t.

We fall in love because one day they become part of a memory we never want to lose.

Years from now I won’t remember every specification of this car.

I probably won’t remember what song was playing.

I won’t remember what time the sun disappeared beneath the horizon.

I’ll remember how it felt.

That’s what RS1 has always been.

Not a collection of cars.

A collection of moments that cars were lucky enough to be part of.

The silence was necessary.

Now watch what happens next. taken in Lake Lanier by @avautomedia

A final chapter of Audi’s naturally aspirated era. With only 333 units made, the R8 GT brings together a screaming V10, rear-wheel drive, and a level of character that’s becoming impossible to find.

Two Spyder RSs - both powered by Porsche’s 4.0L naturally aspirated flat-six and built around the same purpose: delivering one of the purest driving experiences on the road.

With a 9,000 RPM redline and an engine shared with Porsche’s GT3, every drive feels like something worth taking the long way for. The color choice is the only difficult decision here.
