My senior thesis show, “Metastasis” was a great success!

Thank you to all those who came out to see it, especially those who came from far!

A big thank you to my thesis committee - Kimberly Winkle, Stephan Micheletto-Blouin, and Jessica Wilson.
Also, a big thank you to Brad Sells, John Lucas, Alexandra Mavrikis, Talia Tax, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Jesse Thompson, my fiancé, my father, my
roommates, and all my friends and peers who have kindly donated and loaned time, materials, or equipment to me, given me support and feedback, and have helped me in any other way along this exciting, yet difficult journey! I’m truly so grateful and could not have done it without any of you!

Most importantly, thank you, Mom. Your strength, creativity, and love continue to inspire me every day. I carry you with me in everything I do. I know you’re still
cheering me on from heaven. I love you, and I miss you always - Angela 🫶 taken in Appalachian Center for Craft by @avdubswoodworking

"The Appalachian Center for Craft has made a big impact on my personal and artistic life. The Woodsmoor Craft Fellowship will help me to continue to expand my knowledge and myself as a woman, woodworking artist. I bought a woodturning lathe this summer, and I am in need of lathe accessories. I also plan on going to woodturning symposiums/conferences in the coming year; these conferences are great for connections as an emerging artist, and they're exciting to see the demonstrations and what they have to offer. The Woodsmoor Craft Fellowship will help me with these things."

Turning a spalted horse chestnut bowl, with a twist…

Not everyone or every blank is perfect. Kinda some punky wood, but it was partially user error. I wanted to fix a bump and pushed it too far. Some gorgeous wood though!

I just got back from Colorado after visiting Trent Bosch’s studio for the weekend for the Young Turners Workshop! It was such a great experience and I am always so grateful I get to go and experience these types of things on scholarship! I always love making connections with new people and learning new things! You’re never too young or old to be a student! There’s always something to learn!

Thank you to the donors who kindly donated for these 7 scholarships. Thank you to Trent and Laurent for having me, and thanks Kailee and Sari for all your amazing cooking and efforts for lunch!!
