ℍ𝕆𝕎ℤ𝔸𝕋?

My favorite horror of this year so far is #28yearslaterthebonetemple for its memorable shots, hilarious dark humor, character design, and excellent plot. Among other topics, it shows how easily people in need get trapped in cult dynamics through repetitive ritualistic belief reinforcement and suppression of dissent. It is also a perfect illustration of the Lucifer effect in clean, society-free post-apocalyptic conditions, where people become capable of extreme violence when responsibility is diffused through deindividuation.

Predictably, I fell in love with Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal, a flamboyant, charismatic, articulate blonde Satanist helping young folks survive this challenging world and a passionate future thought leader surrounded by loyal apostles incarnating his vision. Because of his mane, confidence, and inspirational monologues, I think he is a Leo like his actor and me. We are meant to direct and embody ideals within groups, challenge established systems, and occupy central positions as leaders, mentors, and prophets. So of course, it felt like my second nature to embody Jimmy.

However, #sirlordjimmycrystal is also a satirical metaphor for a delusional narcissist next door. We all know someone obsessed with public perception, climbing to the top through social games rather than skills, and ignoring facts and rules inconvenient to reputation and good relationships. Just like Jimmy, these people see others as extensions of themselves (fingers) and often recruit a team of useful sycophantic minions. That is why Jimmy is one of my favorite villains of all time: he reflects very real social predators.

For this year’s #bangkokhorrorfilmfestival2026 I chose to do his cosplay even on short notice. In 2 weeks, I grew my beard, learned his monologues, practiced his accent, and assembled key parts of his look. As always, it is my own interpretation. I thought Jimmy would love custom golden grillz, new crowns, a magic wand, and his own wig. I don’t have many clear pictures or videos from that event, but it is definitely not the only time I served you this Tinky-Winky.

Because the world of man deserves charity, ad infinitum

Unlike modern kids, I watched Naruto on TV in batches of 20–30 episodes, so I had to wait for each new arc. Each new “season” came with a new opening, so every opening song marked a new era. Haruka Kanata felt like bravely surviving Orochimaru. Go - like a new journey into the bigger world with the sannins and Akatsuki. As the channel repeated the same episodes daily, I eventually learned all those openings by ear.

Because I didn’t have access to manga, I never knew when a new arc would come out on TV or what would happen next, so every announcement of a new arc made me ecstatic. But after a while, the episodes on TV stopped, and I felt really sad because I couldn’t know what would happen next.

Around 2008, when I got a computer and internet, I discovered that an entirely new season of my favourite story just started. It was also the first time in my life I discovered subtitles and heard the REAL rather than dubbed voices of the Naruto characters, which made me see them with new eyes. This is why “Heroes Come Back” was so literal for me, because my heroes actually came back.

20 years ago, being alone with a passion that existed only on TV, that child didn't know that one day they would be standing among hundreds of ninjas in front of a giant stage screen playing Naruto episodes and singing with the band, which gave sound to the defining story of my generation.

I barely held back tears when the heroes who taught us to fight, aim for the stars, and follow our dreams, came back and gave me high-five.

LOOKING FOR FUN???

For #BangkokHorrorFilmFestival2025 I wanted to pay homage to the iconic opossum scene of @ameliemclain from @damien_leone @officialterrifier3 adapted to an Asian context with my customised Monchhichi, as well as to the classic horror trope of pale-faced 🚸nappers (e.g. Pennywise, the Grabber, etc.). A lot of people at the festival loved this look and came up to take photos with me, so I think the nightmare was properly delivered 🤡
