“September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and it feels like the right time to share a bit of my own journey. I’ve battled with my mental health, especially after my dad passed away. It was a dark time, made even harder by people taking advantage of me, experiencing violence and emotional abuse, and even having someone pull a knife on me. It wasn’t easy, and there were days I didn’t think I’d make it through. But what I’ve learned is that hope is what truly heals and gets us through the darkest days. It made me think about getting back into it, and honestly, sometimes we totally underestimate what the message of Christ can truly do for people. My therapist told me to be more open to people so here I go here’s my story
Stepping into vulnerability today... I’ve got a rare condition called CFC syndrome. Growing up, it meant special classes and, even getting made fun of. And physically bullied People underestimated me, thought I wasn’t capable. But guess what? I’m way smarter and stronger than anyone ever gave me credit for.
