Gotta thank GOD for this one, gave me HEART and WISDOM! 🎓💛First and foremost, the highest praise to the Lord for guiding me every step of the way and giving me the strength to become the person I am today. 🕉️When I first started my journey at the University of Central Florida, I was a girl with a dream far bigger than herself. I entered college as a Biomedical Sciences major with the goal of becoming a cardiovascular surgeon. I truly believed I had my future perfectly planned out. I thought success meant sticking to the original path no matter what. But somewhere between the long nights, stress, and Inorganic Chemistry … I realized I wasn’t happy. I was chasing a dream that no longer felt like mine.Coming to terms with that was one of the hardest parts of my college journey. Changing your major can make you feel like you’re falling behind, like you failed, or like you’re starting over while everyone else keeps moving forward. But looking back now, changing directions was one of the greatest blessings in disguise.A huge thank you to Mr. Mogol at Apopka for being my First Aid & Safety teacher and unknowingly helping shape my future. Remembering how much I loved that class made me reflect on what truly brought me joy. That realization led me to take a leap of faith and switch my major to Kinesiology. Throughout my time at UCF, I gained more than just a degree. I gained resilience, confidence, a lifelong friendship, unforgettable memories, and the understanding that it’s okay for your path to change. Sometimes God redirects you because He sees a future for you that you cannot yet see for yourself.Today, I proudly graduate from the University of Central Florida with my B.S. in Kinesiology: Exercise & Sport Physiology. This isn’t the end of my journey, it’s only the beginning. The finish line is still ahead… or some might say, the sidelines.
