for a long time, i was confused. confused as to what i wanted to pursue in music. i knew that music was part of me, but in what way. i created daefrmdak when i was 13 years old. daefrmdak was me. that name holds a lot of memories, experiences, connections and a version of me that i’ll always look back on and smile. it grew with me and became part of me. Although, sometimes growth means letting go of who you were to make room for who you’re becoming. today daefrmdak dies. it’s honestly insane seeing that side come to an end. it’s been a long 7 years 😭😭. this isn’t just a name change tho. it’s a change in sound, feeling, and direction. i’ve always been drawn to music that feels intimate, and music that can say the things i struggle to put into words. without emotion who am i? without feeling, and without LOVE who am i? it’s tatted on my arm for a reason. so this is me choosing what feels honest. choosing to make music that sounds like me, feels like me, and tells stories from a place i genuinely understand. not a place that i created for an “image” and to make your head move. daefrmdak was amazing, it was a time in my life i will always be attached to. this is who i am tho, and this is what i enjoy creating. i hope you can follow along with me during this change, and if not i hope you can respect me being truthful to myself and still respect me from a distance. thank you to everyone who listened before, and thank you to those who are going to continue to listen and i hope i can bring your ears something to enjoy. welcome to AVEN. 💙 #rnb #music #artist #newera #newstart by @avennbleu
