POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

7 years of volleyball. 2 high schools. So many teammates, coaches, friends, memories, wins, losses, and moments that I’ll have with me forever.

It’s so weird knowing that something that has been such a huge part of my life for the past 7 years is over. I’ve spent so many years looking forward to the next season, the next game, the next practice, and now there isn’t a next season waiting for me. No more putting on a jersey, walking onto the court, hearing my teammates cheering, or knowing there’s another game coming.

From middle school to my final season of high school volleyball, this game has given me more than I could’ve ever imagined. It’s taught me how to keep going when things get hard, how to trust the people around me, how to handle failure, and how to appreciate the people beside me.

I’m going to miss the little things the most, the bus rides, practices, game days, the nerves before games, loosing my voice after a big point, and getting to play alongside some of my favorite people. I’m going to miss having a reason to step onto the court every day.

It’s hard to say goodbye to something that has been such a big part of who I am. A part of me still feels like there should be another season, another game, another chance to have one more moment. This chapter is officially over, and as hard as it is to realize, I’m really grateful I got to be a part of it.
Thank you, volleyball, for 7 years I’ll never forget. Thank you for the people you brought into my life, the lessons you taught me, and the memories I’ll never be able to recreate.
