Opening Trans+ Pride Week

Kicking off our Trans+ Pride Week is this piece of trans cinema history. Scarecrow in a Garden of Cucumbers was one of the first-ever feature films to have a lead trans character.

An aspiring actress from Kansas comes to New York and meets a host of zany characters. Restoration courtesy of the Academy Film Archive and the American Genre Film Archive.

Trans+ individuals can get half price tickets (£6) for this screening. 10% of ticket sales will be donated to London Trans+ Pride.

We are hosting Trans+ Pride Week to commemorate London Trans+ Pride on Saturday 25th July. For more information about London Trans+ Pride follow @londontranspride.
