I have been sitting here trying to think of the right words but sometimes there really aren’t any, and I don’t know if there ever will be. Yesterday, June 18th my whole world as well as my whole family’s world fell apart. My Meme, my best friend, my role model, the glue of this crazy family, was called home. My meme was selfless, kind, strong, sassy, patient, and so much more. Losing her has been the hardest moment of our lives. I know you always said “you better only cry like this at my funeral” and while I never imagined this to come so soon I know you wouldn’t want these tears forever. You taught me to stand up for myself, always be kind no matter the situation, and the importance of compassion and understanding, and so many other lessons that I will carry throughout this life because I know that is what you would want me to do. I promise I will save you the front row seat in my wedding just like you would want but in the meantime, please save me a seat in heaven right next to you. I love you forever and always, and I know that Heaven is all you ever imagined and more. We will miss you beyond words. I know you always said “Everything happens for a reason” and while i’m having such a hard time thinking of why you were taken from me, I know that you were always right even when I never wanted to believe it (I secretly did). I love you meme and I know that you will be with us helping us navigate this life. by @avery.kimes

TYJ!!! Night to shine is truly the best night of the year and every year my life is changed in so many ways. Every year my buddy leaves a large impact on me and teaches me so many valuable lesson I will carry throughout life. Jarrod was all things amazing and had such a positive perspective on life no matter what was thrown in his way.
