A few favorites from yesterdays first Moore League meet of the season. @averyintempo had an awesome race taking second place in 17:54, a 29 second course best which is the third fastest time in school history. Some favorites of the Bruins at yesterday’s Laguna Hills Invitational. First race shooting with my new Sony Alpha 7iii and 70-200. What a huge improvement over the old Canon 5dMk3! @lb_wilson_crosscountry_track #lagunahillsinvitational #xc #cifss #crosscountry #sonyalpha by @averyintempo

Exciting night out in Temecula for the Cool Breeze Invitational at Galway Downs. Temps were warm but not hot and the course was super fun in and around the race track with a great mix of grass, dirt, hills and even a tunnel. @averyintempo had a fantastic race, running smart by maintaining her position for the first 2 miles before passing 6 girls in the final mile to snag 12th out of 113 in a time of 17:42 in the Sundown Showdown, a 17 second improvement over last weeks race. Next up: Woodbridge in 2 weeks. Let’s go Avery!! @cool_breeze_invitational @lb_wilson_crosscountry_track @woodyatlbwilson @the562org @rich_prepcaltrack #xc #crosscountry #coolbreezeinvitational #lbwilson #lbwilsonxc by @averyintempo

Three years ago (to the day) @averyintempo went on her very first run after deciding to join the @lb_wilson_crosscountry_track cross country team the summer before her freshman year. Today she ran in her very first national championship at @newbalancerunning Outdoor Nationals in Philadelphia competing alongside some of the best runners in the country. She ran her second best time (10:57) in the 3200m on her way to a personal best of 11:02 for the full 2 miles. Let the summer cross country build begin! #newbalancenationals #nbnoutdoors2026 #trackandfield #3200m #2mile @goodr by @averyintempo

And so the 25/26 season comes to an end. Avery ran a super strong race in the heat against some of the best 3200m runners in SoCal today, placing 11th out of 41 and just missing moving on to the finals by only two spots. Her junior year was so fun to watch and her progression as a runner over the last 7 months has been incredible. So proud of her and her fellow Bruins. Now it’s time for rest and recovery…but senior year XC season will be here before we know it! Go Bruins! #gdtbab #lbwilson #lbwilsonxc #lbwilsonxcandtrack #cif by @averyintempo

Last night at the Mt. Sac relays, Avery had a breakout performance where she absolutely shattered her personal best in the 3200m in a time of 10:47. That’s 16 seconds faster than her run 2 weeks ago in Oregon. She now has the second fastest time in school history, only one second behind her teammate and record holder @mejia.nadia. To put it into perspective, only .25% of high school girls run a sub 11 3200m. GREAT JOB AVERY!!! @averyintempo @lb_wilson_crosscountry_track @woodyatlbwilson @the562org
