Very excited to release all the little things I’ve been working on behind the scenes.

I loved this project so much and I’m very grateful to my incredible team of dancers and co-choreographers. I hope you enjoy this little teaser 🫶🏾🍊 taken in Riverside, California by @averykfdance

Happy 20 years @kingskrew @eileenbking 🥳 !!

Few things have made me feel as cool as I did dancing in Kings Krew😌 especially with a @johawkdance music mix😮‍💨🤌🏻 These are just my favorite rehearsal videos I found in my camera roll, a peak into the process. I don’t have any performance videos unfortunately😔 All slides feature @eileenbking choreography🔥 Except slide 7 which was me and @kimmy.courtney 😉

A letter to Kings Krew 👑❤️
At the age of 12 I spontaneously auditioned for KK Mini, after taking hip hop at Unity for a year. I was terrified and excited, but I’m so glad I took that leap because (not to sounds corny) but that decision changed my life forever. I made it into the group and danced in Kings Krew for the next 10 years. Those 10 years gave me so much. It gave me community, passion, purpose, skill, confidence, drive, teamwork, leadership, and beautiful friendships that I’m so grateful for. I worked my way up to KK Senior/Elite, and honestly the last couple years I spent in that group, even though every year and group had its special moments, were my favorite years. Just because the group was small and tight knit, we laughed a lot, and got to see @eileenbking ‘s creativity at work and dance along side her. Which was always such an honor🥰 I’ve never seen anyone with a style quite like Eileen’s and I feel very lucky to have trained under her. And @johawkdance who was a big part of my KK training as well❤️ I would never be the dancer or person I am without the people that were a part of this journey. Forever grateful!

Guysss I’ve been procrastinating posting this🙈 Been a WIP of mine for a while… Another piece where I went with the flow of the music, just seeing what movement my body felt like doing🥰 It’s fun! And I feel myself growing as a creator. Hopefully I’ll make at least one more piece before the year ends(:
Would love to teach this one at some point!

Dance vids I wanted to post but either procrastinated or felt overwhelmed when it came to writing a caption😅 idk why I feel like I can’t post a video without providing the whole context of the video…I have to remember that not every story, not all thoughts/feelings/reflections/revelations have to be written in the caption of the video😂 Here’s some summary’s tho for anyone interested🥰
~
1st vid:
July 2024 - my choreography, that I had the pleasure of teaching back home. I’m proud of this piece, I was able to just have fun with it and go with the flow of what felt right with the music😌💕 teaching is so special and I’m so appreciative of @eileenbking for giving me the opportunity to do so. The support I feel from the students here is unmatched!

2nd vid:
October 2024 - 🥹 learning from @lex_ishimoto is genuinely a gift. This class was a revelation…it was the first time in several months I truly felt connected to dance and it was a huge turning point for me. Can’t wait till the next time I get to learn from Lex!!🫶🏻

3rd vid:
December 2023 - workshop I took from @eileenbking 🔥 Always so nice to see my Eugene dance peeps! @eileenbking I’m so appreciative of all the skills you’ve given me🙏🏻❤️

4th vid:
August 2024 - dancing with @be_joyes who taught me this choreo by @staronstage 🔥 Even tho this was during the time I avoided dance🫠 I’m glad Surya got me to do this one! So proud of everything @be_joyes is doing in NY🤩 🫶🏻

5th vid:
July 2023 - choreo by @eileenbking once again! Got to take a couple Summer Six week classes while back in Eugene, sm fun!🤗 Was feeling myself fs haha

6th video:
July 2023 - ooo contemporary🫢 @kimmy.courtney contemporary😍😱 what a pleasure it is to learn from this creative queen!! Always inspiring me🫶🏻 I don’t do contemporary very often but always enjoy it when I do😌

7th vid:
March 2023 - the month I moved to LA wow! This was the second class I took, first one at Playground tho w/ @dextercarr !🤩 Who created such a welcoming and encouraging class environment🫶🏻 It made me think about how one can be a good choreographer, but being a good teacher?! That’s a whole other skill, and Dexter is someone that has that skill. by @averykfdance

The disco ball really adds to the vibe🤌🏻🪩

Learned this piece by @dylansmovin at the gym the other day, one of the many dances I have saved to learn. Hadn’t danced or been to the gym in a minute, but this one felt good. Made me feel inspired to keep the momentum going. Honestly I don’t usually film the same day I learn, I like to drill it and perfect details/match the original as best as possible. But filming usually takes me a while to get around to, and I often lose interest🙂‍↔️😩 So maybe it can be good to film when it’s fresh and I’m still excited about it🤷🏼‍♀️ I think there’s beauty in both!

Song: “Don’t Hold the Wall” by @justintimberlake

This was from a class I took at @movement.lifestyle a lil while back. Honestly a challenging choreo, it’s very tiring🥲 So it took me a second to feel good about it but it’s a fun one fs!

AMERICAN HORROR SHOW

This piece was the very last jazz funk piece I taught at @xcapedanceacademy before I moved back to California and a piece I revived for a really big opportunity I had back in December.

Since the moment I heard @itssnowwife music I knew that I would be constantly creating to it. She’s iconic and honestly would love to work with her one day! TAG HER BELOW!!

Thank you to all my beautiful dancers for your hard work and dedication to keeping these projects going!

Choreo: @todd_williamson
(Definitely took inspo from @pearlywhirll because I love the way she executed it, that’s what made me wanna learn it🤩)
Song: “Wait for a Minute” Tyga and Justin Bieber
Filmed by: boo thang😘 @gotbeaned

This one was sooooo fun to dance omg, been obsessed w this one for a minute.

I’m trying to go with the flow with dance these days. Learn what I wanna learn, dance when I want to dance, go to class when I want to go to class…not obsess/pick apart my videos too much. Just relieve myself from expectations. It’s felt good actually loving dance again😌

Choreography (and filming😜): @rxxmmi & @zaevibez
Thank you both so much for this class, and creating such a beautiful energy & environment to learn in. So much love for you guys and the movement you make, I felt very inspired leaving class💖

The flow of this movement felt so so good. I hadn’t danced in over a month and hadn’t gone to a class for even longer, and honestly have been really struggling with my relationship with dance. It happens, but it’s heartbreaking every time. I felt so overwhelmed at the thought of going to class/dancing again. But I’m so glad I pushed through and went. It was definitely something I needed.
