Everywhere I go, people like to jump!

First roll of film ever on my new little canon friend!📸☺️

This was such a lovely happy day spent on a boat in sicily with our new best friend Ivan (the captain). He brought us to a cave that looked like the moon pool in h2o, gave us yummy snacks and beer, and let us drive the boat. Big thank you to my awesome friends for asking random italian women for feminine products for me while I ran around palermo looking for a grocery store that was open between 1 and 3 pm. A whole bunch of photos I forgot to post from Bordighera and Nice! We rented a very strange car that beeped at us a lot and drove it all the way up the coast to the riviera with a stop in Portofino and then stayed in Bordighera. We swam a lot, ate a lot, drank a lot of coffee, and spent the best day ever in the south of France! 🇫🇷 🇮🇹 woohoo thanks for visiting me @jhughesie76 🥰 taken in Liguria, Italy by @averyoutandabout

This is my daily walk to work ☺️ Today I had the best coffee I’ve had since I got here and they were so nice and everyone in there was having so much fun and then I saw these beautiful tomatoes. averyy_jane_ Happy days in my favorite place in the whole world😁😁

I used my 2 days off to take a last minute trip to cinque terre. After a tour of the city center in florence I had to find a body of water asap. I stayed in the cutest little hostel in La spezia (@5terrebackpackerscity ). The manager, Francesco, was so nice and sent me very kind whatsapp voice recordings to help me check in late. In the morning I got my free breakfast and coffee at the cafe next door and headed to the beach! I started in Monterosso and then hiked to Vernazza (one I hadn’t been to but is now my favorite I think). I spent most of the day there swimming and drinking Ligurian lemonade and found a swimming area with a cliff. A very kind Australian couple offered to take a video of the jump and it didn’t really work lol (see last slide), but I appreciate the effort. Then after I was burned to a crisp I took the train to Corniglia and met a winemaker at his small bar and he told me about his wine and let me try his olives and homemade pesto too. When the sun was down I trained to Riomaggiore for dinner. On the way home I met a fun group on the train and a couple of them had just graduated from UW! We all went to get gelato 😋. This morning I checked out and Francesco gave me a hug goodbye “until next time.”

People were so so nice the whole weekend and the water was MUCH needed. l’ve also been to all 5 towns now hooray! Now I am going to buy aloe. taken in Vernazza, Cinque Terre, Italia by @averyoutandabout
