cosette changed my life and she was one of my best friends. she was extremely funny, talented, humble, and overall kind. she never made anyone feel left out, and she was always intentional. she always made me feel accepted for who i am no matter what. she was honest and personal. she was good at a lot of things, although we both struggled in chemistry together. she’s been my science buddy for two years, and i’ll never forget our biology and chemistry classes. it hurts to know i have to go to science alone now, but i know she’ll be laughing at me in heaven when i struggle to learn something new. i miss spending days after school with you and i don’t know how i’ll finish school without you. you never made up your mind with me about picking out my major. it’ll be hard, but i can’t wait to see you again someday when i’ve accomplished all we talked about.

if i’ve learned anything, it’s that life isn’t guaranteed and is hard. check on your people when you notice withdrawal. even if someone seems okay, it doesn’t hurt to let them know you love them and see them. reach out to someone who you feel you’re falling off with and check on them. if you’ve been considering calling that person, call them. forgive the person who hurt you. you never know what someone is going through or is silently struggling with. cosette left a legacy, and if i can encourage anything, it would be to reach out more often and be intentional with everything you do. #cherishedlikecosette #suicideprevention
