I searched for ages (seriously) to find a suit for my wedding, late nights scrolling in bed, one link to another. Until finally, I stumbled across @samieskelinenofficial through relentless internet sleuthing, and Sami’s work was exactly the level of editorial drama I was looking for. Anyone who knows me well, is aware that the 90’s Romeo+Juliet has always been one of my favourite films. When I discovered that this dazzling sequinned white suit was embroidered with one of my treasured Juliet quotes, I knew that it was meant to be.

“and when he shall die,
take him and cut him out in little stars,
and he will make the face of heaven so fine
that all the world will be in love with night
and pay no worship to the garish sun.”

Echoing the embroidery, this starry fabric was tied together with my dagger tattoo by Ro @uetattoo in homage to my @pamelalove earrings that is secretly a woman holding up a star.

Sami and I started working together to create my custom suit almost 2 years ago. From custom sizing, to changing shoulder pads, a full pattern change for the trousers, likely over 100 emails, zoom meetings, model fittings, and a long trip from Helsinki to Denver, she turned out better than I could have imagined! This was the most rewarding and memorable experience to work together to make this jaw dropping wedding look come to life.

I thought I had peaked there, but I am lucky enough to work at @lwdbridal where I have the privilege of collaborating with one our incredible designers and friends Sohil and Nayha, at @enaurabridal

I could not find a bustier or veil that hit the mark, and I knew exactly who to trust to make these stunning custom pieces. Sohil and I chose to go with a soft pleated tulle to contrast the sharp, crisp lines of my suit (with a layer of sparkle tulle underneath, duh.) As expected, they were THE perfect custom garments to complete my dream outfit.

I could not be happier, more humbled or more thankful to have worked with such gifted designers who graciously gave their time, craftsmanship and care to materialise this truly one of a kind look for my wedding day. I will cherish these pieces and this experience for the rest of my life. taken in Atrani, Amalfi Coast, italy by @averysay

I am blown away writing this caption because I am genuinely floored I can actually say that I have finished my painting “Saint of Sorrows”

I spent over 5 months pouring myself into this piece and literally figuring out how to paint it, as I painted it. There was no sketch, no grid method, no projector. Just a reference photo and my absolute fucking WILL to learn how to paint a portrait…..with acrylic paint.

I am so so so so proud of myself. Working on this piece and watching both my skills and the canvas transform and improve every day, was the coolest and most rewarding thing I have probably ever done.

I gave myself and my saint so much love, time and grace - try something, and mess up, and change my mind, and fix it, only to adjust something else and completely redo it. This experience taught me so much more than how to paint, but we will let that be the highlight.

Getting to share your favourite movie with your friends on the big screen is THE birthday gift, so OOPS! I did it again. I am counting all 31 of my lucky stars for this life and these people that we’ve found ✨

My favourite shots on the Rolleiflex from last weekend. While there is some absolute HEAT in here, we definitely need to get a light meter and not try to raw dog sunny 16 in constantly changing conditions again 😤 the B&W is crunchy for many reasons but I still love it anyway.
