The dream became reality 🎓❤️

Officially graduating from Western Kentucky University with my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology! After 5 years, 2 degrees, 180 credit hours, 400+ clinical hours, 850+ clock hours, countless nights studying, internships, externships, and comprehensive exams, it still doesn’t quite feel real.

These last two years challenged me, shaped me, and confirmed that this is exactly where I’m meant to be. I’m beyond thankful for every professor, supervisor, patient, classmate, friend, and family member who helped me get here.

One of my favorite moments from externship was a patient telling me, “You have the patience of Job.” That comment has stuck with me ever since and reminds me exactly why I chose this profession 🤍

Next stop: beginning my Clinical Fellowship at Bradford Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hopkinsville, working in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. I absolutely fell in love with the geriatric population during grad school, and I can’t wait to continue learning and growing in this field.

All glory to God for guiding me through every step of this journey ✨

Quick little photo dump and some good news! 🙈

I’ve always grown up in a Christian household, surrounded by prayer warriors who have supported me through every stage of life. But over the past year, I drifted away from God, chasing worldly things that left me feeling empty and unfulfilled. I felt too far gone, with the enemy taking full control of my mind. I didn’t even know how to talk to God during this time in prayer, but one verse kept appearing every time I opened the Word: Matthew 5:14. “You are the light of the world, like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.”

That verse became my lifeline. I held onto it, realizing I was placed at WKU for graduate school with a purpose so much bigger than myself.

At the end of July, I made the decision to get back into the Word and surrender the things in my life that weren’t aligned with obedience to Him. On October 20th, I was rebaptized, and the joy and peace I felt that day are truly beyond words. To know Jesus is to love Him, and since that moment, my life has been completely transformed.

One of the most humbling and beautiful experiences of this journey happened just this past Sunday. I had the incredible privilege of baptizing not only my sister in AOII but also my sister in Christ. It’s a moment I’ll treasure forever!

Here’s what I’ve come to realize: we’re all human, trying to figure life out one day at a time, and we all fall short. But through God’s endless grace and mercy, He loves us unconditionally. No one is ever too far gone, and at the foot of the cross, all sins are made equal. Hold on to that truth—it’s life-changing. 🩷⛪️😇🎀🥰 by @averysinclair
