Wow! What a day on the course! Got myself an ace on hole 14 at Mendakota Country Club. 167ish yards into a light wind over the trap to a back pin. Long is gone. Step on a 7 or smooth a 6? Grabbed the 6 and accidentally hammered a flusher straight at the flag. We all saw it land and disappear, assuming it rolled off the back. I walked to the green with both wedge and putter thinking I’d have some unholy short chip to deal with. Mike, Dave and I couldn’t find the ball. Tommy decided to check the hole. Bingo! The boys and I went ballistic! Came up short on my best round ever when I banged my drive deep in the marsh on 16 and carded a triple bogey 7. However, 80 is nothing to sneeze at. First legit hole-in-one with witnesses on a challenging hole on a tough course that is currently open for play. Yes … it is important to clarify that the course was indeed open but that’s another story for another time. Last night was night 3 out on tour with @gratefulshredmusic and my birthday bud @hammer107. This stop was @washingtonsfoco in Fort Collins, CO.
