Happy new year! 🔅🔆

This is a little 1”=1’-0” scale model made from plywood and chipboard (with a janky little light I wired myself!) for my latest studio project. The shadows dance on a barrel ceiling over the dining table, bringing emphasis to time spent together around a meal. It’s beautiful how lighting can draw people in to connect with one another!

Some section action on my “Approachable Reverence” cafe. This view gives way to the punchy red interior elements. The otherwise restrained material pallet allows the red to take the stage! 💃💃💃

Curating a timeless + swanky collection of pieces has become a passion of mine. Absolutely loving some of this interior inspiration that I carried through in this recent project.

“Approachable Reverence” is my design proposal for a Christian library/cafe in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Here’s some views of the front entry in the morning and after dark ☀️🌙 by @aves_interiors

Curating material boards is one of my favorite parts of the design process! For this Christian library/cafe project, I kept the palette simplistic so that the rich maroon could take center stage to symbolize the blood of Christ. The materials were chosen to fit the culture and withstand the tropical climate of the Dominican Republic. More to come!! by @aves_interiors

A classed-up rendition of my Mondrian-inspired glass meeting rooms! I’m loving how the frosted glass brings a soft transparency to the space. This allows the light to trickle in while still maintaining privacy in the meeting spaces ☺️

Presentation day! 😆

I find it difficult to pare down months of work into a concise presentation for a jury. How do you stop yourself from explaining every tiny detail that went into the project within a time limit?? There’s just TOO MUCH I want to say.

When I figure it out, I’ll let you know.

A little snippet from my corporate office project! This workspace showcases different types of collaboration, supporting both tech driven and physical work. By adding a large scale custom cork board, I was able to encourage multiple work styles within one space! 🙇‍♀️
