Greek MEP Emmanouil Fragkos Calls Turks “Barbaric Mongols” and Demands Sanctions

Greek Member of the European Parliament Emmanouil Fragkos has sparked controversy with strongly worded remarks about Turkey and the country’s historical legacy.

In comments accompanying a video from the European Parliament, Fragkos described Turks in highly critical terms, referring to them as “barbaric Mongols” and accusing them of destroying the civilizations they encountered.

“The Turks will always be the barbaric Mongols who ravaged whatever they found from civilization,” Fragkos said.

Corfu occupation celebrated the war criminals that killed, raped and burned unarmed civilians in Albania during the WWI. But when armed forces arrived to defend their lands they were retreated to the British base in Corfu and hid there like cowards along with greek forces until safe passage was negotiated for them.
This part the pontiostans of Greece neglected to put in the history books because it makes their mongol brothers look like murderers and occupators, just like they are.
