Black-necked crane!

Near threatened, they are a symbol of pride and conservation and often seen as a symbol of longevity and grace in Buddhist traditions.

Though seen many times on the trip, I got this couple from close proximity only on the penultimate day of our trip.

Sitting partially hidden at a reasonable distance from them and being tortured by millions of mosquitoes, we sat still and silent with our eyes almost pasted to the viewfinder of our trusted gadgets and kept capturing unforgettable memories.
