Empathy isn’t passive.
It isn’t silence disguised as peace,
neutrality masked as wisdom,
or comfort protected at the cost of awareness.

Too often, self-preservation is mistaken for compassion, ignorance for balance,
and disengagement for emotional maturity.

True empathy requires consciousness
the courage to be affected,
to acknowledge harm even when it disrupts comfort.
This applies to all humanity, within your communities,
your day to days

And when entire systems rely on people not looking,
not questioning,
not feeling
that absence of empathy becomes policy.

the forest grows beneath my skin,
my hunger hums in root and sin.
red lace drips where mercy dies
you step too near, and the woods decide 🖤

LIB 2023✨ just a lil late af throwback post from my first time at @libfestival last year. 😂

This was one of my favorite festivals to date to experience with my close friends new and old and to see so many homies perform!! 😭🥹 It’s so amazing when the music, art, and spiritual community come together and create something as beautiful, intimate, and immersive as this festival and I am absolutely grateful to have attended.
Can’t wait to be back next weekend!!

love you

No audio at the end for lolz.
