The hands and heart behind Avoda Studios 🖤 by @avoda.studios

On the dance floor, I’d rather show you what it felt like to be there. The heat of the crowd, and the guest who suddenly becomes the best dancer in the room.

This was Arthur and Eden’s reception and this guest was completely lost in the celebration. I LOVE that!

Photographing a dance floor well comes down to experience. It means knowing where to stand and reading the room well enough to see what’s coming before it happens.

So if you spot me in the middle of the crowd partying with you, I promise I’m still working! by @avoda.studios

During their reception, Arty and Eden slipped outside with me for ten minutes, just as the sky was starting to turn.

With daylight saving back, sunset now lands right in the middle of most receptions. It’s one of my favourite parts of the night.

It’s not really about the extra photos (although they’re a lovely bonus!). It’s about giving couples a breather. A few quiet minutes to step away and actually process their wedding while it’s still happening.

I’m careful with timing. I always wait for a natural gap in the night, so you never feel pulled away from your guests. Five to ten minutes, then straight back to the party. by @avoda.studios

2028 is beginning to take shape.

Enquiries are now officially open for weddings in the first half of 2028.

Over the past few months I’ve been blessed to sit in on early planning conversations with couples who are only just starting out. Those first chats are where so much of the groundwork happens: finding vendors who are the right fit and getting clear on how the day should feel.

If you’re newly engaged, I’d love to be part of those first steps with you.

Previews from Arthur & Eden’s wedding last week! I cannot wait to share more from this incredible day! by @avoda.studios

Arthur & Eden’s reception was full of small, considered touches and I loved every one of them. Here are a few previews from their wedding last week!

Not every couple thinks about the details when it comes to their photos, but I really believe they add to your day. Each one was chosen with care and when they all come together, they shape how the whole room feels.

Seeing those little things in your gallery is what makes it feel complete. It’s what takes you straight back to the room. by @avoda.studios

35mm film isn’t perfect. That’s exactly why I love it.

The grain, the warmth, the honest imperfections. They add a depth and feeling to a wedding gallery that digital alone can’t reach.

Film isn’t something I tack on at the end. It’s part of the creative direction from day one and part of the full Avoda gallery experience. by @avoda.studios

Not every frame is meant for the wall.

A detail like this may never make the wall at home. That was never its purpose.

Its place is in the wedding gallery, setting the scene and giving the day its context.

This is where I get to be an artist. Framing, light and a rust suede couch that asked to be used! by @avoda.studios

This was one of my favourite parts of Matthias and Miriam’s wedding day.

We stepped away from the reception so Miriam could change into her second dress. On the way back to their room, we stopped for a breather and watched the horses as the sun went down.

This is your reminder to slow down on your wedding day ! Give yourself a few minutes away from it all to take everything in!
