The focus was the meandering lines that guide the viewer through the painting.
To do this I painted smaller and in a less structured way than which I usually do. After I got the under painting done I kept adding details randomly where the photo lead me.
This was a quicker looser painting than I usually do and I relied on the colour contrasts to guide the eye.
Thanks again to @painted_by_natalia for again providing interesting reference photos.

Month of Masters
Myths and Fantasy
Lady with Unicorn
Artist Raphael
Year c. 1505-1506
This was challenging for me to paint as I haven't really painted a person before. I enjoyed looking at the incredible detail in her outfit was amazing. This painting has an interesting history. At some stage it had been overpainted and the lady had been given a shawl and religious items to hold and the Unicorn was painted over. During a restoration they removed it back to the original. Also they discovered there had been plans at some stage for the artists to include a dog in the lady's lap as well Stop Thank you to the hosts of month of Masters-

Landscape Art Club Week #208
Lake Bled Slovenia.
The focus is framing the focal point.
To do this i selected a square page and positioned the building in the centre.
I kept the mountains soft and focused on the building and island in both the image and the reflection. I felt this gave a stronger vertical pull on the eye.
I excluded all the little boats and other buildings as fussier details but i couldn't help going to town on the clouds and water.
To do this painting I used Prussian Blue, Primary Magenta, Primary Yellow and White.
