Thank you @avromfarmparty @avromfarm @spencertweedy @hog.farm.casual @greenberggeo___ @averyriel @nbroste @artisdeadgobears and all of the volunteers, friends, and Avrom family for one of the best weekends of my life.

Avrom Farm Party was very special to the @dzrecords crew and it reminded me of what community and art is all about. It was beautiful and welcoming in every way. The food that Hayden and his team made for hundreds of people was some of the best food I have ever had. You could taste the love and respect they have for the land and animals. It was truly remarkable what they did for the crew and patrons.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported all of the amazing performances by @pictoriavark @nicoplay.wav @gullyboysband @hallogalloinc @_oyeme_ @magdecent @chloekimes @jojo_pow_ @luckycloud.hz @freemckinley @lileanaprydedavismoore
The lineup was incredible and curated perfectly!

Thank you to the Avrom team, artists, sound team, and construction crew for what you built and cultivated for everyone over the weekend. Thank you to the Avrom Farm family for opening your land and doors to us all. Your generosity radiates through the beautiful food, art, and landscape.

Lastly, thank you to my best friends and team @charles._henry @_t_h_r @dannydiabetic @atomhealer and @flowerpressings ! I’m beyond blessed to have you all in my life and on the DZ crew. Much love to everyone who made the remarkable event happen.

Got a chance to visit @warrenwilsoncollege farm last week where livestock farming all started for me. The genetics here are what started our farrow to finish pastured hog operation. The week after graduation in 2017 I drove 26 piglets, 1 boar, an ATV, and Jackie our livestock guardian dog from Asheville to Green Lake to start Avrom Farm taken in Warren Wilson College by @avromfarm

This season has come to a close and I want to thank our whole Avrom Farm team for their unrelenting dedication, hard work, and ingenuity. It was a particularly challenging year, but from our production & retail team at the farm to our farmers market and food service team in Chicago, I am eternally grateful for these folks’ commitment.

This year we:
- Built out and opened a small local foods grocery store in Green Lake, WI
- Started a chicken & waffles pop up restaurant in Chicago
- Started a pastured egg enterprise
- Farrowed more piglets than the previous two years combined
- Put on a successful 2022 Avrom Farm Party
- Hosted a play & farm dinner
- Built a 30x80’ high tunnel, increasing tomato production

Every year since the start in 2017 the farm has taken a new shape. It molds to the interests and passions of its crew. I’m proud of the work we’ve done and for the nutritious food we have grown, prepared, and served this year. It wouldn’t be possible without this crew.

For the winter the farm is winding down to reflect and take a much needed break. You can still find us at market, online for home delivery, and you can catch our chicken & waffles pop up in Chicago. Stay tuned for more on what’s to come.
