FIRST LOOK: @nivia.safety The nivia 3D finder is an avalanche beacon equipped with patented technology. In addition to the conventional magnetic field lines, a GPS grid is built up. With this and the patented algorithm, the position of buried persons can be determined very precisely from the very first signal. As with a navigation system, the path to the buried victim is displayed directly - accurate to the centimeter and not via the detour of the conventional magnetic field line. No matter which avalanche beacon is being searched for. SAS’s avalanche dog program concluded operations at our RMP training site yesterday. #SASDOG teams are trained for backcountry deployment in areas without roadside or lift access. This winter, we enhanced our canine response by refining the use of snowmobiles and helicopters to achieve faster search times in remote areas. #AvyLabLulu exemplifies our dedication and inspires us daily. ❄️🐕‍🦺💪 As we wrap up a successful season, we are honored to serve this community and grateful for the ongoing support of our partners: @nard_org @natlskipatrol @cradavalancherescue @silverton_medical_rescue @laplatacountysar @fflco @skidoo @ruffwear Building on the progress made this season, @avyschool remains dedicated to growing our avalanche dog program by recruiting new teams, strengthening training opportunities, and preparing for our annual Fall Dog Camp. by @avyschool

What a week. Wrapped up my final Pro 1 avalanche exam today with @avyschool - it was an intense week with great guides and great peers. Pretty special to be held to a high standard in the field. I’ll find out if I met it when grades come out in a month. Regardless of the result, it was an excellent experience surrounded by a bunch of professionals. by @avyschool
