📬 For collaboration or update reach at undertheblaze@awartsy.com This pre-release poster of the Pakistani animated short film "Under the Blaze" by Awais Shaukat, features a young boy standing barefoot in a wheat field, gazing at a distant brick kiln emitting smoke into a clear blue sky. The scene captures a tranquil yet melancholic atmosphere, blending themes of rural life, labor, and environmental challenges.

The poster art draws heavy inspiration from the evocative and atmospheric styles of Studio Ghibli and Makoto Shinkai, evident in the soft yet vibrant colors, attention to environmental details, and emotional storytelling through imagery. The wheat fields are painted with warm, earthy tones, while the distant kiln and smoke symbolize industrialization, subtly contrasting nature and man-made impacts. The sunlight adds depth and a sense of hope, aligning with the reflective and immersive styles characteristic of the mentioned inspirations.

The minimalist design and thematic focus make this poster both striking and deeply meaningful, hinting at an emotional narrative. by @awartsy

Alhamdulillah!! Several newspapers and media have covered our announcement. 👁️✨

It's about a short film, 'Under the Blaze', highlighting the forced child labor at brick kilns. The film is being directed by @awaishaukat, while @rafhanshaukat is producing it under the banner of @Awartsy, a Lahore-based animation studio. The script is finished and it is currently in the pre-production stage.

The aim is to raise awareness about the pain endured by children who work tirelessly along with their parents and are unable to pursue their dreams. As frame-by-frame animation is still underdeveloped in Pakistan, we hope to spark interest in this art form through this film.

💌 Stay tuned for more updates!! Upcoming hand-drawn animated film 'Under the Blaze', directed by Awais Shaukat is covered in different newspapers. by @awartsy
