POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Welcome to my little corner of the world 🌍✨—where adventure, culture, and a touch of luxury come to life.

10 years ago, I fell in love with travel but felt held back, constantly waiting for someone to join me. Eventually, I took the leap into solo travel—and it’s been the most empowering decision ever.

I decided to start this new account to share my travel stories, bucket-list stays and unforgettable foodie finds, in hopes to inspire YOU to explore the world on your own terms 💫

Whether you’re dreaming of a solo adventure or just want to add a little wanderlust to your feed, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s get lost together 💕

✨ So, tell me—where’s your dream destination? Let’s chat in the comments! by @awaywithlinaa

Solo travel didn’t just allow me to experience so many new places. It taught me how to sit with myself, trust my voice, and see the world with more compassion than I ever had before.

I thought it would change where I went.
It changed how I see myself and how I notice God’s hand in the most unexpected places and in the quiet moments.

where I’d actually send someone i love in Paris. save this for when you go 📌🇫🇷

🥐 the sweet spots:
• maison louvard - the infamous crookie, worth the hype
• mamiche - some of my favorite pastries
• seamer or source - when you need a matcha break
• carette - for that iconic hot chocolate
• café marly - go for the stunning view over the louvre courtyard

🍽️ where to actually eat:
• la renommée
• chez janou
• pink mamma
• waly-fay
• clamato
• chez alain miam miam

🎨 for a little culture:
• musée d’orsay - my pick if you want a beautiful museum without giving the louvre your whole day. the building alone is worth it, and the impressionist collection is unreal
• bourse de commerce + the national archives - two alternatives that are just as beautiful
• la galerie dior - if you love fashion, design, or just a gorgeous space
• jardin des tuileries - technically not a museum, but the perfect little reset between all the sightseeing

🥀 for wandering + seeing the city:
• montmartre - start around place des abbesses, find the “i love you” wall, make your way to rue de l’abreuvoir + la maison rose, then end at place du tertre. get the little portrait sketch, trust me
• sacré-cœur - the view that makes the climb worth it
• le marais - for wandering, boutiques, and a slower shopping afternoon
• galeries lafayette - for the big shopping moment and that gorgeous dome
• champ de mars - a little picnic at golden hour + stay long enough to catch the tower sparkle ✨
• trocadéro + palais de chaillot - for insane eiffel tower views
• arc de triomphe - because of course

✨ the experiences (my favorite part):
• a private tour of the city in a vintage 2CV - one of my favorite ways to see paris, especially your first time
• a macaron class with a french chef - very cutesy, very paris
• a seine cruise - touristy? yes. worth it? absolutely. book the sunset slot!

🥂 for a drink:
• hôtel costes
• beaucoco - go for the drinks + live music

i get that ‘just go’ isn’t the most helpful advice when the idea of traveling alone actually terrifies you. so here’s where i’d actually start you, depending on how nervous you are 🤍

📌save this for whenever you’re finally ready to book it.

& a note on safety, since it’s always the first question: how safe you feel is personal, and you should always use your judgment and do your research wherever you go. but don’t let fear of the unknown be the reason you never experience the world. the right prep makes the biggest difference.

What level are you at? 👀 by @awaywithlinaa
