This is one of my most embarrassing memories 😬
I still cringe every time I think about this financial mistake.
I am putting myself out here however to help someone not repeat my mistake.
This is why, if you’re in the diaspora especially you shouldn’t play with your Financial education!
There is so much to learn y’all. The earlier you start, the less mistakes you will make.
Don’t be like the old me😭

Some people with 10 kids with one on the way would not like this video but I understand. I had to still say it.

In a society where it is bragging rights to have battalion as kids, intentionality and understanding of responsibility must still remain the order of day.

Don’t be so quick to procreate when you are unwilling to accept the responsibility of paying another person’s bill for the next 16-20 years.

There’s no award in heaven for most children birthed on earth.

➡️ We’re going to pray more because God + you = Ease, Love and Joy.
➡️ Build our savings account. $1k may seem small but can take a whole lot of pressure off you.
➡️ Do soft life on your level and what you really need per time.
➡️ Stop overspending and buying what you clearly can’t afford untop peer pressure.
➡️ Do the hard thing now so you can enjoy tomorrow.

Contentment is a gift.
You have to learn to be okay with what you have in every season.
This doesn’t cancel ambition or hard work.
Instead it increases gratitude and appreciation for the little things.
If there’s something you need to work on getting in your life, if you don’t already, is being content in every season.

We act like aging is not going to happen and even if it does, we think it’s still very far away.

But one thing we can’t avoid that stares us right in the face daily is our parents aging.

They can’t control it, neither can we.

Aging is a gift but it can also be a curse if not well prepared for.
In the African home, we avoid discussions surrounding aging or death for fear of it.
However, avoiding hard conversations doesn’t cancel them.

Your parents are getting old. My question to you is what are you doing to prepare and plan for that time.

I came across a post of a man asking for monetary help because both of his parents had cancer and he had been wiped clean so far dealing with the diagnosis.

Don’t think it can’t be you. Prepare for this situations. Talk to your parents.
Don’t wait till it’s too late.
