Helping @awebimmer tune up his rdx, giving him some faster laps to try to see how it’s pacing. Every night we get it a little closer and a little faster. @teamhakuryoku @streetxbreakxrcdrift #rcdrift by @awebimmer

Thanks to David with @oppositionrc for getting this bag to me. I've been on the hunt for one for months and he definitely made it happen! Brand new in the bag, never been used. I'm rolling into SDC Round 6 @rado_drift in style now. by @awebimmer

The Late6 Matsuri tonight @streetxbreakxrcdrift was a blast! Some fantastic looking cars were on the track tonight and I had a great time driving with all the people that attended. I'm glad I was able to get the car ready for tonight with the pop up headlights and new wheels arriving just in time. I was also super fortunate to be able to have some retro styled @teamhakuryoku stickers made for the car by @dcfromvt . Thanks @rcdriftmatt for letting me drive the DLP and assist me in making poor financial decisions. 😆 taken in Street Break Circuit by @awebimmer

Thanks to @carbonfuryrc I'm now running the HiFlex V3 chassis, bumpers, and battery tray in forged carbon on my RDX. I originally had the HiFlex V2 in a twill weave and loved the chassis. I made the switch over to the V3 after the installing the Team AD front bulkhead blocked the forward servo mounting hole. The V3 has 4 different servo mounting holes (Forward, front-mid, rear-mid, and rear). After some testing and tuning, I decided on mounting the servo in the front-mid slot for the faster steering response.

Along with the new chassis, I also changed over to the Team AD rear transmission. This change was motivated more by aesthetics than any other reason, though the mounting holes on the factory RDX transmission were beginning to loosen up.

To finish off the changes, I picked up an Onisiki aluminum servo horn so I could lay the servo back down with the Overdose 2-way servo mount. My previous servo horn stood too far away from the servo and would hit the side chassis braces forcing me to run the servo upright. I already have a few Onisiki parts across my chassis and the artwork on their parts has always been some of my favorite. I wish more companies embellished their parts.

The chassis is very close to being in it's final form now with only the rear control arms and rear knuckles being factory parts. The way it drives is on the cusp of being exactly what I want out of it and its getting more and more intuitive to drive every night I take it to the track. I still have a lot of room to improve as a driver, but it's been one wild journey so far! by @awebimmer

8/6 day finally spurred me on to get the LP86 on the track again. After a few minor tweaks, the car is a blast to drive. I'm not sure why I've let it languish on the shelf for so long, but I might bring it back into the weekly car rotation to get some more laps in on it.

Prepping the 86 body to make it a bit more pleasing to look at has been a fun side project. I've gotten to experiment with it and try a few things I've never done before like painting on the outside of a body, installing pop-up headlights, and windshield "cracking".

I'm definitely looking forward to the 86 Matsuri @streetxbreakxrcdrift Saturday night! by @awebimmer

I have been contemplating getting knuckles for the RDX for quite some time, as it seemed the next logical step in my build. I had been checking out my options and seeing what was actually available for a few weeks. I eventually decided on, purchased, and installed the Overdose Type 2 adjustable knuckles in quick succession.

The way in which you can make the adjustments sealed the deal for me (we won't talk about the inherent bling factor 😆). Yes, I can get the same adjustments in other knuckles, but I didn't like the look or the way in which those adjustments are made on other offerings.

After the install, I was able to quickly get the car handling like it did prior to the change, which was definitely a concern. I liked how the car handled before and didn't want to accidentally mess up the secret sauce. Moving forward, I'm eager to experiment with the adjustments and see what I like, or don't, now that I have the ability to make those changes. by @awebimmer

Photo dump! SDC Round 5 @rado_drift . This round was the first time I was able to overcome my nerves and focus on having a good time. I had a lot of fun driving and interacting with all the great folks that were present. This round I won a battle for the first time and had an absolutely amazing second battle! Sure, I once again spun myself into a loss, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself this time. After-comp party laps with @teamhakuryoku made for some very cool photos (thanks again Rado!) and I was able to pick up some tuning info through conversation towards the end of the night that definitely improved the way the car felt. I'm certainly looking forward to the next round! taken in RADō Drift by @awebimmer
