This week we hosted our latest Awesome Foundation Glasgow gift night. 3 fantastic finalists pitched their ideas: ✨️The Joinery Hub Glasgow ✨️Little Designers - Play, Create, Learn ✨️Glasgow Science Sound Lab Huge congratulations to @thejoineryhubglasgowcic who went away with £500 on the night! The Joinery Hub Glasgow will put the money towards delivering a 12-week programme in their community workshop in Drumchapel. Through creating a welcoming practical environment, they'll give participants hands-on experience of traditional joinery and introduce them to digital technology. Importantly, all while helping participants to build confidence, purpose and social connections along the way. A big thank you to everyone who pitched their ideas, and to our first ever Awesome Glasgow recipient @brawwee_ for kindly hosting us this time. . . . 💡Got an Awesome idea? The deadline to enter our next round is 11th November. Head to the link in our bio for more info. #Glasgow #SocialEnterprise #AwesomeFoundation #AwesomeGlasgow by @awesome_glasgow

When good clothes become “waste” Most clothes don’t become unwanted because they’re worn out. They become unwanted because the person holding them no longer has a use for them. Dress for Success Glasgow receives mountains of generous clothing donations. Every bag is sorted and quality-checked, with suitable pieces used to help women dress for interviews and work. But some items aren’t work-appropriate, some are menswear, and some simply don’t have a place in the work of the charity. They’re still good clothes. And throwing them away feels absurd when so many people across Glasgow could use them. ♻️Clothes with more life in them. 🧵 Skills worth sharing. 🤝 No judgement. No barriers. 📍 Bath Street, Glasgow. #Glasgow #GlasgowCommunity #ClothingReuse #Mending #RepairDontReplace CircularFashion CommunityProject SustainableFashion DressForSuccess MendingLibrary FreeClothes GlasgowEvents That’s where this project comes in. by @awesome_glasgow

The Glasgow Stags are proud to announce that we’ve been selected as recipients of an Awesome Foundation Award! 🏆 This award supports grassroots projects making a difference in their communities - and we’re honoured that our efforts to grow ice hockey in Scotland have been recognized. 🏒🦌 The funding will help us continue building opportunities for new players, expand our reach across universities, and keep growing the game we love. A massive thank you to the Awesome Foundation for backing our vision - and to our players, supporters, and partners for being part of the journey. 💛💙 #HerdUp #GlasgowStags #AwesomeFoundation #BritishIceHockey #JoinTheHerd by @awesome_glasgow
