We traveled to Lake Como to continue telling the story of our SS26 collection, A Journey Home.

Not about destination, but connection.
About the people who make a place feel like home.

What we brought with us became just as important as where we arrived.

In Lake Como, A Journey Home unfolded through shared moments, around the table, on the water, and in between. We were joined by friends of the brand who helped shape the experience with intention and care, including Lalo Tequila, Ruby Farms, and Petrossian.

Each presence became part of the rhythm of the days, not additions, but extensions of the story. A quiet reminder that home is built through people, through detail, through the energy we choose to surround ourselves with.

A Journey Home, Lake Como.

Taking moment to focus on my grandfather and father’s style.

When we fled Ethiopia during the Eritrea–Ethiopia war and traveled across East Africa as refugees, the last thing anyone thought about was taking the photo albums from our home in Addis Ababa. So much of our family history survived only through memories, style, and stories.
My grandfather (Woldegebriel Friy) — front left — lived in those stories without a single image to accompany them. Until a few weeks ago, when I received this photograph.
Looking at my father (Goitom Adgoy) — front right — I see the dignified man who raised me. But seeing him sitting beside his father, I understand myself a little more.
This picture could easily be a nostalgic editorial for Áwet New York. The style, the posture, the quiet elegance — with pieces that I feel like are something I would naturally design.
What I’ve learned as I grow older, I’ve realized that even when life forces us to start over, our roots don’t disappear. A solid foundation becomes a permanent north star. My hope is that this image lets you feel the heritage and craftsmanship woven into the brand — the roots that continue to guide my hand. by @awetnyc

Jeannette found a pair of antique cufflinks. Naturally, she needed two tuxedos.

Meet the CJ Women’s Cropped Tuxedo, made for our client Jeannette and named in honor of Carolyn Jackson, a global business leader who opened so many doors for me in my early 20s.

From New York to Istanbul, a story of craftsmanship, personal style, and the women who inspire what we create.

ÁWET NEW YORK PRESENTS
ORIGINS ROME
CHAPTER II OF III | THROUGH THE RITUAL

From the land in Ethiopia to the cafés of Rome, our journey continues.

Through the Ritual explores the everyday moments that make coffee part of our lives. A familiar face at the counter. A conversation over espresso. A small pause before the day begins.

For Áwet, these moments carry the same care and connection that inspire everything we create.

Three places. Three chapters. One shared ritual. Next, New York, where we begin again.

Discover our single-origin Ethiopian coffee at ÁWET Origins Café in our Two Bridges store, Thursday–Sunday, 8 AM–4 PM.

ÁWET NEW YORK PRESENTS
ORIGINS
CHAPTER I OF III — FROM THE LAND

Before coffee became a ritual around the world, it belonged to the land.

For Chapter I of Origins, we traveled to Bonga, Ethiopia, to begin at the source. From the Land explores coffee through the people, traditions, and landscape that have carried it across generations.

From Ethiopia, Origins travels next to Rome, where coffee became ritual, and finally to New York, where we begin again.

Three places. Three chapters. One shared ritual.

The single-origin Ethiopian coffee served at ÁWET Origins comes from this same region. Watch the origin. Taste the origin.

Discover it at our Two Bridges store, Thursday–Sunday, 8 AM–4 PM.

We opened ÁWET Café inside our Two Bridges store.

A café felt like the most natural addition to the world we’ve been building at @awetnyc . But we wanted to approach coffee the same way we approach everything else: with a deep understanding of where it comes from and the people, history, and craft behind it.

ÁWET Origins is dedicated exclusively to single-origin Ethiopian coffee, sourced from the land where coffee’s story began.

To tell that story, we created Origins, a three-chapter film tracing coffee’s journey across continents and generations.

It begins in Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee, told through the lens of @yonas_tadesse_.

It travels to Rome, captured by @_matteodagostino_ , where coffee became part of the rhythm and ritual of everyday life.

And it ends in New York, seen through @donniesees, a city where people from everywhere come to begin again and create new origins of their own.

All art directed by @caliandrolo

In many ways, that journey mirrors the foundations of ÁWET: heritage, craftsmanship, migration, and community.

Our clothing, our content, and now our café are different expressions of the same belief: that the things we live with every day should carry meaning, tell stories, and bring people together.

ÁWET Origins is not simply a café inside a store. It is an invitation to slow down, share a cup, understand where it came from, and perhaps think about your own origins too.

From Ethiopia, to Rome, to New York.

Three chapters. One shared ritual. A new beginning.

Welcome to ÁWET Origins.
