This is NOT ACNE… but it’s often treated as if it is!

One of the biggest misconceptions I see is treating post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) as though it’s active acne. ❌

Over-exfoliation, excessive use of active ingredients, and inappropriate treatment can prolong inflammation, making PIH more difficult to fade. 🫧

Here’s what you need to know:
• PIH is the pigmentation left behind after inflammation, such as acne.
• It doesn’t necessarily mean your acne is still active.
• It requires a different treatment approach to achieve the best results.

My approach isn’t just about clearing active breakouts. I also focus on reducing inflammation, rebuilding the skin barrier, fading pigmentation and improving acne scarring to achieve long-term results. 🙋🏼‍♀️
