Here’s something I did last fall. It was my first time using gold leaf and it definitely got everywhere but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. This is acrylic on canvas. And I’m thinking of calling her Regal 🫶🏾

Scrolling through my camera roll and I saw this! I painted it a while ago but somehow completely forgot about it. I remember wanting to work with a restricted color palette here and rose + oranges are such a vibrant combination.
Anyways, she is watercolor on paper.
I called her Rebecca in rose tones

I recently I realised I went through almost an entire summer without making a single piece of art. So I worked on this in a creative panic at like 2:00 in the morning. Very worth it, very in love with working with dry media atm.
She is charcoal on Bristol paper.

Unofficially titled: GREYWAREN (If you know, you know, unintentional, but I saw it and now I can’t unsee it. 😩)🖤

Black and white acrylic painting on Canvas. First proper acrylic portrait. I was listening to the Mr. Impossible audiobook as I worked on this and well… @maggie_stiefvater

Dreamcloud
Acrylic on 16 x 20 canvas

I’m working on painting acrylics now! I haven’t had much practice with acrylic painting so I thought would be cool to work on some new pieces and expand my experience. One down, a couple more to go!

“You are your likes.” Here is a graphite and digital piece I did to reflect the issue of acceptable beauty standards. Specifically regarding women on social media.

“Likes” on social media has steadily become a sort of currency. Intentionally or not we judge people by either choosing to give them likes or to not. Not saying that social media is all bad, but it has created an unhealthy environment where “likes” to a certain extent, can seem like a measurement of self worth.

It’s been a while since I last shared work so here’s a personal portrait I did a little while ago in graphite and charcoal. 🖤

I haven’t done a watercolor painting in such a long time so the other day I decided to make one. Here is a quick time lapse of my sketching/prep process!
.
I did a quick sketch in my smaller sketch book just to figure out the proportions and to plan where all the different tones would go. Usually I go right to a sketch on the watercolor paper, and then straight into painting but I wanted to take my time with this one.
.
Swipe to see a photo of my reference, I do not know whose photo this is but I would be happy to give credit if it happens to be yours!
Will be posting how the watercolor turned out soon. :)

Here’s a charcoal and graphite piece of still-life which I did in class a while ago. Just found it scrolling through my camera roll 😅
I actually think this is one of the more intense dry media pieces I’ve done. And one of the first with charcoal.
