The African Women’s Woke Up Foundation (AWWF) logo represents the strength, unity, resilience, and transformative power of African women and girls. Every element of the logo was intentionally designed to reflect the Foundation’s vision and mission.

The Map of Africa

The African continent at the center of the logo symbolizes our roots, identity, and commitment to empowering women and girls across Africa. It reflects our belief that sustainable development and transformation begin within our communities.

The Women Figures

The two women raising their hands in solidarity represent strength, leadership, empowerment, and collective action. They symbolize African women who are rising, breaking barriers, and leading positive change in their families, communities, and nations.

The Girl Child

The child positioned between the women represents the future generation. She symbolizes hope, opportunity, education, and the importance of investing in girls today to create a stronger Africa tomorrow.

Joined Hands

The raised and connected hands signify unity, collaboration, and mutual support among women. They reflect AWWF’s commitment to building networks of empowered women who uplift and inspire one another.

Traditional African Attire

The cultural patterns and traditional attire celebrate Africa’s rich heritage, diversity, and identity. They remind us that empowerment can coexist with pride in our culture and traditions.

Circular Shape

The circle surrounding the logo represents inclusion, protection, continuity, and community. It signifies that every woman and girl belongs, is valued, and deserves equal opportunities to thrive.

AWWF Name

The Foundation’s name encircling the logo reflects our dedication to awakening awareness, unlocking potential, and empowering women and girls to become agents of change. by @awwf2026

🌸 We are kicking off this new month with the launch of the Malkia Pad Bank at Kikuyu secondary school in Dodoma— a step forward in advancing the Safe Menstruation Agenda and ensuring that no girl is left behind because of her period.

Through this initiative, we are not only providing access to menstrual products, but also creating a platform for education, awareness, and open conversations about menstrual health. By breaking myths, reducing stigma, and empowering young girls with accurate information, we are building a community where menstruation is understood, respected, and managed with dignity.

Every pad donated, every conversation started, and every girl reached brings us closer to a future where menstrual health is a right, not a privilege.

Together, we continue to champion menstrual dignity, education, and equal opportunities for all. 💕👑
Happy new month, Happy World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we reaffirm our commitment to breaking menstrual stigma, promoting menstrual health education, and ensuring every girl and woman has access to safe menstrual products and support.

Many of today’s youth, myself included, have grown up without fully understanding our roots and cultural identity. It was truly an honor to be among the young people given the opportunity to participate in a discussion at @bunge.tanzania with the Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania @zungumussa and traditional chiefs from different parts of Tanzania on the future of preserving, teaching, and protecting our cultural heritage.

The conversation reminded me that culture is not something to admire from a distance — it is something to understand, carry forward, and pass on. If we do not learn and preserve it today, future generations may never fully know where they come from.

Grateful to be part of a space that encourages youth to reconnect with their identity and become active custodians of our nation’s traditions, values, and heritage for generations to come.
More to come just prepare your plates

Honored to have been invited to a @bunge.tanzania by the Ministry of Youth @orvijana Wizara_ya_Vijana to witness and engage in discussions on the Youth Budget and the collective voice of young people towards the future we want to build.

This experience was more than being present in the room—it was a reminder that youth are not waiting for change; we are part of creating it. Every policy, every conversation, and every decision were made to shape the opportunities and realities of tomorrow.

Real progress begins when young people are seen not only as beneficiaries of change, but as partners in shaping it and may we continue creating spaces where young voices are heard, valued, and transformed into action. 🇹🇿✨

Because the future is not something young people inherit—it is something we help design.

Honored to receive an invitation from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, where we had the opportunity to express our sincere condolences and stand in solidarity during this difficult time.

We also visited the Iranian Cultural Centre, @iran.tanzania where we learned more about the rich history, values, and culture of Iran. It was a meaningful experience filled with insightful discussions, cultural exchange, and conversations about future collaborations that can strengthen connections between our communities.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of unity, respect, and international friendship. 🤝✨

More to come 💯🙏🏼📌💫 taken in Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran by @awwf2026

I had a chance of being part of gender disinfomation training in Tanzania prepared by zaina foundation .. Imagine seeing a video of a public figure saying or doing something shocking, only to find out it was digitally altered using AI to make it look real, or photo of someone is doctored to spread false rumors about their character or lifestyle, especially common when targeting women, think about coordinated campaigns where many accounts suddenly start posting similar negative comments, using specific hashtags, or sharing false stories about an individual, often a woman, to bully them into silence. Beyond the screen, the effects of #GenderDisinformation are deeply real. 💔 It's not just false news; it's a weapon that silences, intimidates, and harms. It kills dreams as well as democracy.
What i learnt is that your feed should be a space for truth, not lies, Pause & Question(to the post that seems wild to be true, check the Source, don't Share. The power to counter gender disinformation lies in our hands through education, engagement, and unwavering advocacy,
Together, we can create a digital landscape where truth, respect, and gender equality are the prevailing narratives.

When women and youth are at the table, policies are more equitable, innovations are more inclusive, and the digital future truly serves everyone. AfIGF 2025 was a powerful reminder that our active participation is not just a preference, but a necessity for building a robust, secure, and prosperous digital Africa. Let's continue to champion our engagement and ensure our voices drive the digital agenda forward as each and everything right now need digital inclusion.
