Just wanted to poke in and introduce myself for any new friends out there who don’t know me! Hi, I’m Jamie. I am a multi media artist who found a niche in jewelry/ talisman making back in 2009. I am also a ceramicist and you can expect to see that work intermixed here and there. I have a degree in fine art photography and worked in the film industry for years doing set dressing and prop work which only amplified my forever love for thrifting/ scouring for interesting old objects. Ax+Apple is an outlet for any of these interests at any given time (no rules here). I am a 40 year old Sicilian / Ashkenazi Jewess, all of these things I am immensely proud of. I appreciate everything I have been afforded in my life and career to no end. That’s the nutshell. I’m happy you are here. Thank you for coming. 🖤✨ by @axandapple
Mostly gone but not forgotten 🕊️ thanks for loving all this silver as much as I do. New vintage finds rollin in and added weekly. Link in bio by @axandapple
I asked my dad once what the hardest part of getting older was and he said it was the way the chapters end. Man o man… this freaking chapter. The last 18 years with my fellow earth traveller, ride or die, littlest muse. My familiar. We built this “brand”, this world, this whole experience together. We really did it our way. His aunt Lauryn said something so simple to me just after his passing that meant so much. She said “I know you know but your journey with him doesn’t end here”. I turn my head to look for him all the time even though I know he won’t be there. It’s true I feel him all around though. In the bamboo every time it sways. The butterflies. Yesterday when I woke up the time had changed and with it the light, and right where he used to sit every morning there was this flickering light (last slide). I take great comfort in these small dispatches. See you at the crossroads George Michael. With all our past beloveds 🩶 by @axandapple

More than one way to fire a pot 🏺 My mini-est vases yet. The idea to use these large vintage bench beads to make tiny vessels lived on the bench for years before our recent conversations around memorial jewelry nudged it front and center. These will be released in a larger collection next month, in the meantime my books are open for customs! Details in the link in my bio by @axandapple
A pet tooth memorial medallion for Rusty 🤍 Thanks so much @johnhberry3 for trusting me with this! I’d love to do more teeth charms this year, message me if you have ideas and want to chat 🦷🤍 by @axandapple
