Meg, I’m so beyond glad AXID brought us together. You are such a caring, spirited friend who always brings the party wherever you go. I missed you so much last semester when you were abroad, but living together this year has been long-awaited. With one of our philanthropy events approaching this weekend, here’s a special #whyaxidwednesday from our VP of Philanthropy @holly.klinger! Holly is a communication sciences and disorders major and is from Eaton IN, and here’s why she loves Alpha Xi🩵

“Growing up, I always knew being in a sorority was what I wanted for my college experience. My mom’s memories of her own chapter and the lifelong friendships she made made that path feel obvious. But even with all of that, nothing compared to the feeling of being in AXID for the first time. It felt like stepping into the exact kind of sisterhood I had always hoped for.

AXID has brought me such an effortlessly authentic group of girls who show up as themselves and make it so easy for everyone else to do the same. You can see how much everyone loves and cares for each other in every moment, big or small. My sisters have pushed me to be the best version of myself and encouraged me to pursue roles I once thought were too big for me.

Being the Vice President of Philanthropy has given me an outlet to serve and contribute to my community alongside my best friends. I have been given the opportunity to turn something I care deeply about into something that brings our chapter together and makes an impact beyond ourselves. More than anything, AXID has shown me that sisterhood is not just about the people you meet, but about the people who encourage you, challenge you, celebrate you, and stand beside you through every step.

To my Big, @kendallpatt, I truly cannot imagine my life without you. You are truly my best friend, the kind of person who will do anything to support and cherish the people you love, and who will always be there, even for the most mundane moments. To my Little, @avapevehouse, you are the sweetest and funniest girl who has blended so perfectly into our family. I am so lucky to have you as my little, and I cannot wait to make so, so many more memories together.

Happy #whyaxidwednesday from Abby Richards in MC ‘26, she is from Vermont and is studying Architecture. Here is her why Alpha Xi🩵

“Last January I decided to go through recruitment in hopes to be more involved on campus and gain sisters. Before joining a sorority, I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for in a house but I knew I wanted to meet people and find the sisters I never had growing up.

Once I joined Axid the reason became clear. As I got to know more people in my MC, I continued to be introduced to girls who all had unique interests and passions yet all shared the same core values. Axid brought me closer to my day one at cuse @jennyred02 and led me to one of my best friends and now sister @molliekuritzky, who I instantly clicked with and cannot believe I’ve only known for almost a year. I’m so grateful to have met @mhannabrown and @avapevehouse and many other amazing girls I cannot wait to experience these next few years with.

My fam has similarly become a source of love, fun, and support in my life. Stemming from my perfect gbig @lillyhiness who pref’d me and instantly bonded with, then going on one date with my amazing big @_alexcueto who is always there for me and never fails to have fun, I knew these girls were meant to be in my life. My cousins @kendall.eckert and @sadie.dsouza, my go to people who I’ve shared many laughs and memories with. And my ggbig @marisolarusso who welcomed us into the fam and became close with despite her leaving so soon. My fam has truly showed me the meaning of sisterhood.

The beautiful thing about AXID is I could confidently describe every single girl in the house with just as positive attributes. Every woman I’ve encountered in my time in AXID has been more inspiring and caring than I had thought possible. The relationships between each member of an MC, between every fam, and between each person within the sorority as a whole has been wonderful to watch and experience.“ by @axidcuse
