Exec Spotlight🧸

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa, and I serve as Alpha Xi Delta’s Philanthropy Vice President. When I first joined Alpha Xi Delta, I knew I wanted to become involved in philanthropy, but I never imagined how much this chapter and our commitment to service would shape my college experience. Alpha Xi has given me countless opportunities to step outside of my comfort zone, grow as a leader, and discover the importance of creating an impact that extends far beyond our strong sisterhood.

Within this position, I’ve have the opportunity of leading our chapter’s philanthropy efforts and bringing our values of knowledge, service, sisterhood and leadership to life. This role is a privilege I hold dear to me, because it allows me to bring our sisters together around something bigger than ourselves.

“Hi, my name is Amanda Acosta i am currently a sophomore studying finance. I believe that sometimes the best things in life are the things you never planned for, and for me that was Alpha Xi Delta.

Going into college, I never saw myself rushing, but a year later, and I can happily say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Alpha Xi has given me a community of women who support and appreciate one another. It has brought me people who I can no longer imagine my life without. But more importantly, it has helped me grow in ways that I didn’t know I needed to.

I am forever grateful I stepped outside my comfort zone and did something I never expected to. This sisterhood has already brought so much into my life and I can’t wait to see what the rest of my time in Alpha Xi brings.”

Xi Karaoke 2026🧸⭐️🎤

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who participated in and supported our philanthropy efforts! In just one day, we successfully raised an impressive $50,949.46 for His House Children’s Home, a local organization dedicated to assisting children and teens facing foster care and homelessness.

A special thanks to our Philanthropy Vice President @lisamaisonave_ and the entire philanthropy team for their unwavering dedication and hard work into making this event a reality. An additional congratulations to our winners @phisigfiu & @fiusigmachi for helping to make this night so special! We take pride in the impact we have made together and appreciate our community’s steadfast commitment to @hishousemiami.

Recruitment advice from Isabella Tovar Fall PC ‘25🧸🤍

“For the girls going through recruitment right now, I’m so excited for you! My biggest advice is to be yourself. There’s no place for a fake persona, and you are special in your own way. Your home will recognize that. When I went through the process, I wasn’t sure Greek life was for me. I wanted to grow as a person while staying true to who I am. The conversations I had with girls who made me feel safe and inspired changed everything. The girl who I talked to in preference (now coincidentally is also my big) changed everything for me. She was everything I imagined the girls I surrounded myself with would be like. Now she is my big and one of my best friends. (Ask anyone we are inseparable)You will end up exactly where you’re meant to be. Have fun and enjoy the moment, because a beautiful new chapter is about to begin. I’ve met so many girls I’m proud to call my sisters. They push me to be better, and they’ve shown me the true meaning of friendship, even in a big group of girls.”

Recruitment advice from Ale Camps Fall PC ‘24🧸🤍

“Going through recruitment as a freshman, I always knew I wanted to find a place where I could grow my service project, continue meeting my academic goals, and eventually become a nurse. More than anything, I wanted a sisterhood where I felt supported, uplifted, and pushed to be the best version of myself. When I walked into Alpha Xi Delta and talked to my big, Aly, during Pref, I immediately saw the balance between academics, life outside of the chapter, and being involved in the sisterhood. I saw exactly what I wanted to become. The way she carried herself, balanced everything, and genuinely cared about the people around her made me feel like I had found where I belonged and could see myself becoming that person someday.

Two years later, I can honestly say I’ve come so far, while knowing there’s still so much ahead of me. I’m soooo sooo grateful to have sisters by my side who truly care about me, support my goals, and encourage me to keep pushing myself. Alpha Xi Delta has given me so much more than I could have imagined. It has given me people who believe in me, opportunities by @axidfiu
