Arco youth worlds championship 🇮🇹
I wasn’t able to make semis, which left me quite upset, but I still enjoyed every moment of competing and had the best time of my life in Arco. Instead of taking these results negatively, I want to believe this comp was an opportunity to learn and make improvements for next season.
Thank you to all my teammates, USA coaches, and everyone who supported me throughout this experience. Thank you @italiaclimbing and @usaclimbing for this once in a lifetime opportunity. I’m incredibly grateful and I’m hoping for a miracle to experience something like this again next year! by @aya_sends

Just last nationals, I earned my first ever spot on the national team, which was already a huge achievement for me. But this year, I achieved something way beyond my expectations. I podiumed at nats for the first time, earning the opportunity to compete at youth worlds in Arco, Italy this year. Qualifying for youth worlds has always been a goal of mine, but I never expected it to happen this quickly. I went into lead with low expectations after last year, so this result was quite a suprise. In bouldering, I had a rough qualification round, but I was able to come back and place 4th, earning a spot on the team for both lead and bouldering. I was one spot out for worlds in bouldering by one attempt, which left me quite upset. But I’m very satisfied with my performance this whole week. It’s great to see months of my effort and hard work to show on the scoreboard.
Thank you to all my teammates, friends, coaches, and family for supporting me every step of the way. Shoutout to @giulianaclimbs for competing at her first nats despite an injured shoulder and @ganba.leina.ganba for winning double silver. Thank you both for being my biggest supporters and believing in me for the longest time!! So incredibly happy and proud of your achievements this week! And of course, thank you to my coach @rockcityclimbing for believing in me from the start, year after year and bringing me to where I am today. Super excited to compete at worlds soon! 🇮🇹🔜
