POSTS STORIES REELS
“What I Recall", my first composition is finally released! This is a postponed dream, a mirror of struggles and joys, a yearning in metamorphosis, a becoming. Melodies I might have heard in the Beqaa valley, in the streets of Beirut or Istanbul, in the echoes of mountains in Granada, or by the sea, at night, in Tyr. I hope this music will resonate as a healing sound of places we carry within, of soothing roots. Amid this dark maze of loss and destruction, we must allow any touch of grace to breathe. I was lucky to collaborate with beautiful artists and friends in this live session, recorded during my stay in Abu Dhabi; they were so generous in their talent and presence: 🪘Hany Bedair @hanybedair (percussions) 🎻Alaa Al Jammaal @violin_jam (violin) 🪈Bassem Trabelsi @bassemtrabelsi (nay) 🎧Sound recording, mixing & mastering: Thaer Bader @thaer.bader 🎥Video & editing: Oguzhan Arslan @arslanvisuals 🪄Production: The Barcoe Studio @barcoe.studios Video recorded at Barcoe Studio @barcoe.studios Special thanks to Sean @sean_barcoe, Thaer, Yamen @yamen_alawar, Wahib @wahibrdwan, Faith @peyt_gn, and all my teachers 🤍 To the memory of my mother 🪷 To my family and friends ☀️ To all the late-bloomers 🦋 وماذا لو كان النغم طريقاً لانتشار الروح، رذاذاً من اللطف, صوتاً ينادي الشمس تراوُداً غيبياً ينقذ يُنبت في الوحل سوسناً ويبعث في الظلمة لآلئَ أسرار Watch the full journey on youtube, LINK IN BIO! by @ayaeldika

#oud #taqsim #impro by @ayaeldika
